I know that my one desire in this world is to be able to travel. I can't settle down this year to university or college or a 9 - 5 job. But now I'm wondering if I should do some schooling first, before I head off into the great unknown of Asia, Europe, Africa, and Australasia. I have no idea what to do... I don't want to lose my zest for travelling, and I don't want to settle down. I've been asking questions. And getting answers. None have completely satisfied me. All I know is I would be severely disappointed in myself if I held back my dreams because of everyone else's advice.... read more

We are back in Toronto and all considered, we had more fun than we anticipated. The heat in Bangkok and it's environs wore us down, as we prefer walking. This is the pace that allows us to absorb experiences of sights, sounds and smells. We decided not to go to the beaches of Southern Thailand. We slowed down to enjoy urban experiences. Tours were around Bangkok and Chiang Mai in Northern Thiland. Things we enjoyed in Bangkok 1) We stuck with Old Bangkok and once we adapted to the frenzy, we took the non air conditioned Canadian 12 cent or 4 Baht Buses. Do not miss the complexes of temples around the Golden Palace. We walked to it from the Khaosan Road area and took the bus back.Enjoyed a one hour Thai massage at the Temple ... read more

Wod up yall? I have been really lazy over the past week or so. To be honest, not a huge amount was happening because the season had not started yet. Now it is all go! Both mountains are open, I have been working a fair bit (but have managed to get a few days on the hill. I am heading out riding for the next five days - yes life is tough! I have just been promoted to lead-hand at work which is good because it means more money, and a heap more perks with discounts on gear etc. Itt snowed yesterday and we are expecting more for the weekend (15-20cm). I hope everyone is well at home (or where ever you are). -HAMISH-... read more

Hey Everyone, Sorry its taken so long for me to update this but you know how it is non stop. Anyway we finally made our way up to the Canadian Capital and im so glad we did. It has to be one of the prettiest cities i've ever seen. Within about 20mins of being there we were driving past the parliment building which was all lighted up because it was night time. Also there were fairy lights everywhere on all the trees for xmas. Julian drove Bianca, Carl, Phil and myself up there in his car and its good he did. It was soooooo cold and we would never had survived. His mate Dominic (top guy) put us up for the weekend and showed us the nightlife. On friday night we went for dinner and the ... read more

Well well well....who thought i could ACTUALLY go skydiving and have the chute open for me?? it did...and it was the best feeling i have ever experienced in my life. Julie and I sang living on a prayer at the top of our lungs when we reached the half way point at 5,500 feet...10500ft, we jumped out of the plane by flipping a couple times then freefalling for 35 secs. I am not a rhino were the words screamed...they could apparently hear us from the bottom screaming all the way down. best trip ever...there were also these engineer guys there who, one of them, dropped his pants whenever i told him to...it was the best day ever. kudos kiddies, good times.
