Vancouver island.

Well hello there guys and gals. How's everyone doing? I don't know why I asked that because there is no real way for you to tell me how you are at this moment, well, I guess you could leave a comment telling me how you're doing, ah well. So as you can see by my location I have relocated myself to the lovely town of Tofino. I arrived here yesterday by bus and was feeling so awful that I checked into a motel and didn't leave for the rest of the day. Pretty lame I know, but I was feeling -that- awful. So yes, I guess I should get on with my update. Let me see, where was I last time... Oh yes, I believe the last time I wrote in here I was in Courtenay ... read more

UntitledNoel Wigdor Well here we go again. I very recently finished a painfully long, unbelievably rainy school year and have decided on my summer plans. A couple months back I acquired a motorcycle and am planning to live out of the saddlebags for the summer on a trans North America trip (Mexico? hmmmm....). Just this last week, though, I started things off with a trip to Vancouver Island. I left last Friday with the bike loaded up, the highlights being my unbelievably cute french girlfriend and a tent. The original plan (more on the "original" part later...) was to drive from Vancouver to Tofino, camp until monday, then drive Delphine (the name of the french girl, not the bike...) back to Vancouver in time to tie up loose ends and hop on a plane to New ... read more

Ahhhh...lazy days. Sometimes they are just what a body needs. Looking over my last few entries, I have come to the conclusion that they are actually pretty boring. So I am going to try my hardest to make this one witty and amusing and just about the best damn blog you've ever read. I'm a little worried thouh, because I might just find out that in reality I am not that witty of a person, like I like to think of myself as. Let me start out by saying that I think Jeannie might just be loving this trip mainly for the fact that I have had no voice the whole time. She is loving this larangitis (sp?) thing. The only drawback is that it comes with furious fits of coughing spells that last about3 minutes ... read more

So after a very long 11 hour trip we made it to Tofino, BC. It was a great travel day, considering. The weather was good, the company was fine, and the truck didn't break down. Not that I was expecting it to, but it was nice that it didn't. The Ferry God was smiling upon us, as not only did we make it in time for the 1230 ferry, but there was even space available! Got to Tofino at 6:00, just in time to set up camp and then enjoy the sunset on Mackenzie Beach. I am very impressed with the campsite, Crystal Grove Resorts. The tent sites are nice and private, and kept totally seperate from the RVs and cabins. It's a 30 second walk to the beach, which is white sanded and stunning. Ty ... read more

Here's to another beautiful day in paradise. We woke up this morning to a very thick fog (how Tofinoesque!) and a blanket of mist. It was the thickest mist I have ever seen. It felt like waling through a cloud. It was a little bizarre, as everything was quite wet, but no real rain. That cleared up pretty quickly though, and although it's still cloudy and foggy, it's also very warm. I love what the humidity does to my hair and skin! It's almost worth putting up with the clouds. Jeannie and I woke up late, and had to rush to get ready for the big race on time. It was the quickest we got ready since Jeannie got to my place. I think I will add here that it is a truly different experience travelling ... read more

Having spent a fair bit of time in Vancouver, myself, Lucy, our new English friend Madaline who I'd met in Toronto who'd rocked up to our hostel in Vancouver; and Jo the Aussie chick, decided it was time for a bit of a girlie trip to Vancouver Island. After a 5 hour journey, including 3 busses and a ferry, we arrived in Victoria. A place that people had been raving about. Personally, I wasn't overly impressed with it but there were some nice places. We decided to stay there for only 1 day, 2 nightas then move on. We hired bikes and cycled through the park to the coast. The breaks on my bike were really sensitive and as a consequence, I ended up almost being crushed by a truck when I hit the brekas too ... read more
