Ok so we arrived in Edinburgh, SCotland.. It had to be the scariest flight ever!! well first off we had to wake up at 4am to catch a bus to our ryan air flight. The bus ride was another hour and a half and then the time to load our baggage up on to our flight. I knew we had a prblem with having overage on baggage weight at the airport.. how abou the school had to front about 1500$ in overage charges...eeeeeeek... o well so we finally got on the flight and all was well until we hit such bad turbulence crossing over to Scotland!!! jen and i seriously cried our eyes out as everyone was laughing at us, but it wasnt funny!!! it was terrible. an irish boy sittin next to us was asking ... read more

Vicky and Roddy took us to Stirling today - home to the William Wallace Monument (Braveheart), it gives you the history of the man who struggle to give FREEDOM to Scotland. The monument is built like the tower of a castle, with a narrow and winding staircase about 260 steps. You get to see Williams sword and a view of where the battle of Stirling occured, when Scotland beat the English. It was very cold and windy at the top.... read more

Hi, all - it's been a while since I last did one of these as we've been fairly busy since we got back from our trip back to blighty. I'll have to keep this reasonably brief as Jo-Ann insists that I sepnd too long on the computer. In fact if she had her way, there would be no more blogs...ever. Might not be a bad thing, I'm sure some of you are thinking! Anyway, we had a great trip home despite spending approx 48 hours on planes with only a couple of hours break each way in what felt like a prison cell in LAX. It was fantastic to spend time catching up with family and friends and it certainly brought home to us just how much we miss everyone. What we don't miss however is ... read more

Sorry it took me so long to update my blog but here I am to inform you all of my adventures in the far north of the UK. I returned to my flat at around 8:30am on Monday after a torturous 13-hour bus ride. For those of you that don’t know, I went to the highlands of Scotland. We stayed in a castle that was donated to the Scottish Youth Hostel Association. The castle was said to have a “haunted” room but we didn’t get to stay in it. Scotland was so beautiful! It was so peaceful and calm. The people there were really kind and laid back. We only visited four small towns, well one was a bit larger than the rest but not too much bigger. We had a four-hour wait in Inverness for ... read more
