Ok, this isn't an actual blog post, I'm just letting you know that I will be doing it again after I leave for Kenya tomorrow. I fly at 7pm and will arrive in Kenya at 6.30am their time. I am completely packed (there is a little bit of concern over the weight of my bags, but I'm going to see what happens when I'm at the airport tomorrow) and am unable to lift my bags more than about 2 inches off the floor - heres hoping there is someone at the other end who is willing to help me! Thank you to anyone who has donated items to the school, or money to enable me to buy bits once I am there - Iwill keep you all updated about how I am getting on. Keep in ... read more

STOWMARKET Well a couple tubes and we are soon in Liverpool Street station train tickets in hand half an hour early. Mmmm time for lunch in the form of an Upper Crust baguette. The time passes as we are people watching and we are soon on a direct train to Stowmarket. We had booked table seats on the National Express train, but were a little surprised to see that we were in airline seats! Oh well at least we are facing the right way! We jump off at the very pretty station and see a Julia bounding up giving us a huge bear hug (amazingly powerful for her size!), I think she missed us! And sitting there is her brad new motor! A huge Audi estate monster thing! Lovely! Julia whisks us home and we drop ... read more

And so we’ve come to the end of our travels for a while. We’ve been to some wonderful places and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Are we glad to be back? Yes, I think so - we’re keen to see family and friends and catch up on all that we’ve missed. We also need some time to relax and sleep - there was only one day in nearly 5 months that we’ve said ‘hell, let’s just do nothing today’ - and that was in Cairns because it was raining! Otherwise, we’ve been up and at’em every minute of every day, and as I said in Hong Kong, we were getting weary! A final confession: all those months ago when we left home, I threw in a couple of light swimming towels. When on the road, John pointed ... read more

Sweet LORD I'm stressed. Every time I feel relaxed I remember the amount of shit I have to deal with at work over the next few days (6.5 and counting). I have an Exec meeting to run and minute and then I will need to type those minutes, I have a whole IMPACT event to collate responses to and organise (and then attend the day before my last day), I have to finish Handover notes and tie up all the loose ends re; meetings and agendas and all that crap. I'm gonna have to start firing emails back to my boss and just telling him I have no time to do it all. He has 3 weeks between my last day and the day the new girl is starting to fend for himself so he's just ... read more

Ok, so there are 49 days til we all leave for Vegas (eeeep!) and 67 days until I leave for Bangkok (double eeep!) As yet I haven't had a great deal of time to think about either of these things as work is uber stressful and having committed myself to 2 jobs, a TEFL course and the gym I have very little time for anything else. I have no idea when the reality is going to hit me and I almost don't want it to! I have no idea what the hell I'm doing going away again - I almost feel like I need to settle and get a career. Maybe I'm running away from it all though. Oh God, I don't know! Maybe I'm looking for something I won't find? Oh sod it, life is ... read more

Portman Road on 03/04/10 My mother-in-law, Mary is mad about football and has been a fanatic Ipswich supporter. She loves taking us to Portman Road Stadium while we are visiting them in Suffolk, as we have often brought good luck for Ipswich Team. Despite a short credit on my mobile, I texted her, "We're at Ipswich Station with a view of Canary Stadium." in the afternoon on 31 March on the way to Bury St Edmunds. She replied, "We're taking you our sacred place on Saturday." John drove us to Portman Road Stadium in the lunch time on 3 April. We had picnic lunch in his car and had a rest until the gate for the stadium would open. There was a series of shower going through around Portman Road. Mary said, "It's your fault! You ... read more

My home is in the Owl class in Ipswich where I live with lots of my friends. We have lots of fun playing and working with the children and we all enjoy travelling to lots of different places. We're going to be telling you all about the adventures that we have and all the mischief that we get up to. First I think you need to meet all my friends: *Benjamin and Emily are brother and sister bear who always travel together. They have been to lots of exciting places and particularly enjoy the seaside. Their best adventure so far was when they were employed as crew on an overseas adventure to Sweden. *Bertie Bear is a rather stay at home bear but this doesn't mean that he doesn't have lots of exciting adventures too. He ... read more

Webshots Desktop One day - "House in the Clouds" image just appeared in my desktop last year. It was fed by webshots desktop daily feed to my laptop. There it was up in the sky - shrouded by the clumps clouds and mystifying mist. It was a beautiful image. I thought at that time - its a lovely picture. The house sits at the top of a long pillar. The pillar is 6 stories high rectangular sky scraper with multiple windows. A real house sits on top with high gabled roof complete with fire chimney jetting up from one side of the roof. The pillar is jet black color dotted with multiple white framed windows which are aesthetically pleasing to look at. The house itself is painted in brick red and sports couple of rectangular white ... read more
