Hi All Thanks from the return messages it lets us know that we are keeping some of you amused! Well we had a great time in Edinburgh and set off early. By the way we tried Haggis and its ok - well Martin thought so !! We went to see Rosslyn Chapel from the Dan Brown 'Da Vinci Code' book and I have to say that the miracle is the fact that all the money the National Trust are making from the visitors, because of the book, will save this lovely little church and will restore it to original condition after a very bad job was done earlier. Next to the Falkirk Wheel to see how the Scots move around on the canals. Very interesting as the pictures show. Then off to see Loch Ness we ... read more

It was my second time visiting Blackpool when my friends and I had traveled to an unfamiliar coastal side of England not to long ago. A well known, small tourism town at Lancashire along the coast of the Irish Sea. The cultured, colorful and exciting town by the sea offering so much variety of flavors to visiting tourist there. Such major attractions in Blackpool includes not only their famous beach, but also, the Blackpool Tower (which was inspired by the Eiffle Tower), casinos, the (North, Central, and South) Piers, the Winter Gardens, Blackpool's sexy cabarets, and not to forget the "Pepsi Max Big One" at Pleasure Beach Theme Park!! We had so much fun by ourselves, and least to say each of us had our moments. CJ's embarrassing attempt to climb up a barrier, Mal's bird ... read more

Amanda and I drove down through the borders through Dumfries and Gretna Green through Cumbria and on to Blackpool. When we got here at the hotel we had lunch at the Outside Inn, the hotel's restaurant. The whole room is made up to look like you are outside walking around a village complete with trees, waterfalls and houses and the roof was full of stars. This afternoon we enjoyed the delights of Blackpool, and if you haven't been there you are missing something! You have to see this place to believe it! A mile long promenade full of carnival atmosphere complete with rollercoasters, joy rides, fish and chip shops, amusement arcades, beach side hotels and B&B's....the list goes on and on. We went for a horse and carriage ride and wait for it....we got our fortunes ... read more

I'm really tired at the moment so this blogs going to be pretty boring. Oh by the way, I didn't take any photos at the Rebellion Fest at all incase my camera got broken. Blackpool had nothing worth taking photos of so I didn't bother. B & B Observation Now in Newcastle. Just had a read over all my other blogs and noticed a part of it has been deleted some how. I basically went into detail about B & B I stayed in. So since it's not there, I'll try and recapture the experience. The room cost £15 ($40) per night. It's probably one of the cheapest single rooms you'll find around England anywhere. When I arrived there was a lady who looked like a hooker standing across the street. Made me feel a tad ... read more

Rebellion Fest - Day 3 Day started off as it did when I arrived here. After going to the internet cafe it poured down chronically. I got completely soaked. Arrived at the Rebellion Fest completely drenched. I had to basically stay there the entire day with soaking shoes and socks. Not the most pleasent feeling I tell you. Met up with Jane and Gareth after laughing at a guy who had a t-shirt that had BAW SACK in large letters. This amused me greatly as a common insult for people in Scotland is Baw Sack. Gareth says it like every day. haha. In NZ we would say Ball Sack, but yeah. Anywho. Bands were rather shit for the majority of the day until a ska band called Spunge came on. They were cool. Played "The Land ... read more

The Something Somethings hahaha I've totally got to give this it's own personal mention before everything. They were the first band I saw yesterday and while they were playing the singer is like "Alright, I'm about to bring out the biggest slut you've ever seen. I've been fucked by her, you've been fucked by her, everyone you know has been fucked by her... and here she is! *Brings out a inflatable beach ball of the world cut open* hahahaha. Then out comes this dude in a Tony Blair mask and him and the singer went to work on the world hahahaha. Ahem.... and now here's my blog: Blackpool - Day 3 Yesterday I had a bit of a depressing start to the day. Felt pretty low in the morning, started to miss people. It's a weird ... read more

Horse Riding What a terrifying experience. Fortunately I only went for an hour. I now have massive respect for anyone who rides horses. I was the tallest person and heaviest person (although that last parts debatable as there was this girl ther who was fucking obese. I felt bad for the horse) so i got the biggest horse. As I went to climb on to the horse, it tried to fucking bite me. We then get shown around for about 5 minutes, which really didn't cover anything what so ever. Then the send you out. My horse was panting angrily when we started out. There are two people with us, one at the front of the group (group had about 15 people) and one at the back. I'm smack in the middle. Bastards. The entire time ... read more

Geo: 53.7577, -2.70344After a fabulous night at the theatre watching Spamalot we drove here yesterday. It was a miserable day, lots of rain and cloud. We picked up our Ford from Hertz at Marble Arch and proceeded to find the M1. Our route was simple, the M1 to the M6 and straight on to Preston. Apart from an initial holdup due to an accident, we found the going straightforward, stopping only for a sandwich at one of the reststops.Approaching Preston we rang Chris and he guided us to Ye Old Hobe Inn where he and Cath soon joined us. It was great to see them again. After a convivial drink we followed them to their house in Greystoke Close in Bamber Bridge, a pretty place with a lovely garden, all Cath's work!!(though Chris insists he mows the lawns)After ... read more

It used to be an annual tradition that my best friend and i would spend at least one day in Blackpool each Summer. This year we decided to restart the tradition! We stayed in the Draytonian Hotel. It's one of the cheapest b&bs in Blackpool. Whilst the hotel rooms aren't huge and the bathroom is shared, the warm welcome from the hosts more than makes up for it! We'd requested veggie breakfasts and upon arrivals, they made sure each of the ingrediants were to our liking. As we'd arrived quite late, we decided to go for food before hitting the prom. We decided to eat at The mayflower, a Chinese restaurant opposite North pier. From the interior design, you would expect a £50 a head meal from any other town, whereas in Blackpool, it wasn't even ... read more

Day 22 Hest Bank- Windermere 31 miles (690) Waking up to a wet morning my cousin gave me a good send off with a tasty cooked breakfast. The first few miles followed the tow path of the Lancaster Canal and fortunately the rain eased a bit although it remained grey and drizzly. From Carnforth after the briefest of encounters passing the railway station my route took me across the marsh into Silverdale where I arrived at the Leighton Moss RSPB reserve and spent a couple of hours checking out the birds. On through really attractive countryside to arrive in Arnside for lunch. All the way there had been views across Morecambe Bay but now the route headed north on quiet country roads through the increasingly undulating south Lakeland countryside. I had a spectacuar burst tyre ... read more
