So, the time has come. As most of you who are reading this know, I am about to begin a seven month round the world trip with three of my friends from school and a lad commonly known as ‘Obers’ as he bears an unbelievable resemblance to Newcastle United player Gabriel Obertan. The trip begins this evening when we depart London Heathrow headed to Buenos Aires, where we will spend our first few days. Temperature in BA was 0ver 30 degrees yesterday and I’m looking forward to a few cold beers and a large steak on arrival. Hopefully whilst there, we’ll check out a few of BA’s sights including La Bombonera, home of the Boca Juniors and perhaps even a tango lesson or two before heading to Montevideo, Uruguay. Now why am I offered Radlett as a location and not Elstree? The Romans would have had something to say about that. Having marched all the way from London on route for St Alban’s, Elstree was where they were allowed to sit down for 5 minutes and get out their sandwiches and ginger beer. Sorry Radlett – you were a patch of woodland back then and frankly compared with Elstree you’re just a new town. So Travel blog – get your priorities straight. Elstree is definitely on the map. The holidays are coming! Toby took Hadley along to see Saracens at Vicarage Road, he wasn't too sure about the drumming but loved watching all the spectators around him and when people were waggling their fingers before kicks. There are a couple of home matches in spring next year so I think Hadley might be joining Daddy in the stands again. Haldey and I hosted lunch for Mum, Dad and Uncle Martyn on Friday, he was a little unsure of Martyn to begin with but that passed and he was happy to smile and wave for him and to pass him toys (the ultimate sign of friendship).
