Well, I can hardly believe that Our Big Adventure (OBA!) is imminent. Saturday evening, 10.30, precisiely 48 hours till we leave Heathrow to Perth, via Hong Kong, on Monday 16th January. I have just booked our seats on-line for the first leg as it is the first time we have flown as a family and I want to make sure we are together. Ellen is out at a farewell party with her girlfiends, Michelle had a send off with her friends yesterday and I had a 'bon voyage' with mine on Thursday - what wonderful friends we have :-)
In a way this is trip is a very much curtailed version of the one I had planned many years ago - we were going to explore America, Asia, S Pacific & Australia over 6 months or so. However, what with one thing and another, things I have had to rein in these wild dreams but am now very happy indeed to be sharing nearly 2 months with my family touring Australia & Thailand.

So is you list ready - the packing list. Each member so the family needs to write down a list of everything that they 'must' take. That way you don't double up with non essentials and they make sure that they have everything that they want - including cables for all electronic goods and international plugs for charging said goods. Also make sure all electronic goods are charged for the journey - nothing like being stuck in an airport... Shout if ther is anything you need. Love you xxx
