Let me start off by saying....I am now a UK celebrity!!! (ok, not really). But I was quoted in a majority of newspapers the day following my Obama sighting. It was a mass produced story, so they all read the same thing. Here it is: "Jenna Jabinsky, 20, a student from Long Island, New York, studying communications and business in the capital, said: “We took a lot of blurry pictures but at least we can tell our friends and family we got to see the helicopters first hand, they landed right there.” Fellow student Darren Goldberg, 21, from New Jersey, said: “We learn all the time about the close relationship between the UK and the US so this is a symbolic and important visit." There you go...you can all say you knew me when. So that ... read more

The title of this entry is absolutely correct!!! What a story to tell, I am still on a natural high. I don't want to miss out on telling you about the 155th Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race though. So let me knock that one off quick. The Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race is a huge event every year that is watched by 7 million people on TV. The two universities each have an 8 person boat, and they race down the Thames River for a course that takes about 20 minutes to complete. A bunch of my flatmates, my friend Christian, and Joe's friend who lives in Scotland named Adam, all headed to the race for a day of fun. Myself, Christian, Adam and Kait all rooted for Oxford, while Joe, Tara and Deborah rooted for Cambridge. Surprisingly, there ... read more

Well Hallo There! So much to for you all to be updated on! (Preview: My No-Class Wednesday, Syracuse University taking over a London Bar, Following (by mistake walking in) a G-20 Protest, and seeing David Beckham and the English National Football team) So Wednesday came, and I had no class (as you have all been told many times already). I thought of some of the few things in London that I have not seen yet. I actually came up with quite a list, and used these past few days to knock a few off (and knock a few back, but that's a whole other story...stories). After having my usual Wednesday lunch with my friends Sara and Lindsay (we call our lunch "secret wednesday's"...its the 7th graders inside of us), I went off in search of the ... read more

Hallo! So I couldn't wait for Michael to leave! And finally he did! (JUST KIDDING 120%) That Saturday night brought about one of my best dinners while in London. Joe and I were the only ones home, so Christian joined us and we made a pot luck...with only 3 people (don't judge). We were lonely and thought, hey, why not pull all of our resources together and make one large meal. (To be completely honest it was my idea, but I'll let them share in the credit). Here is what each person made: Joe: Mozzarella Pork with a side of delicious homemade sauce Christian: Garlic and Buttered Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp Me: Roasted Chicken with Blue Cheese and Bacon Cheese Fries (I'm all about cheese) When you are done being jealous and shocked...continue on...... The previous entry is back up and running after there was an issue with this website, so if you haven't, go check it out (A Happy 21st Birthday shout out to one of my roommates back at Syracuse, Chris Andrews. Happy Birthday!) (Also, the long awaited pictures from my birthday are at the end of this entry's album, don't forget to click page 2 to see all of the pictures!) Let us move right along in the week, which from my accounts (after checking the last entry to be sure) brings up to Thursday March 19th. I had class for only an hourish, and met Michael afterward where we enjoyed a traditional pub lunch. We then headed to the Tate Modern. It was a museum we have both seen, but it was nice to go back ... read more

The following is an account of the first half of the week following the last post. To catch you up to speed, my best friend Michael has arrived in London, we celebrated my 21st Birthday on the 15th. Ok....action: Wow....I cannot believe my body has not collapsed yet. After having a crazy Spring Break with Tara (Madison), the week with Michael was definitely part 2. Showing him around the city during the day, partying it up at night, getting back around 3:30am, waking up around 10am for class, sending Michael to do something fun, meeting up with him...repeat, repeat, repeat. It was an incredible, yet exhausting week. Better do it when you're young. Monday- Started out with my class at 9:00am. What a way to begin the day after your birthday. I left Michael sleeping on ... read more

It is official! You are reading the words of a 21 year old! Yes...that's right, my scribe is also 21. Ok, just kidding, I fired him a week ago. As most, if not all of you know, March 15th was my birthday, and I turned the big TWO-ONE. Holy $#!+ Where to now? Who knows, but I am officially legal (now in the UK and US). Hey mom and dad, all your children are now of age...I'll let that settle. My Birthday Celebration began Saturday night the 14th (not a month prior to my birthday like my dear friend Megan). But before we get there, lets begin with the morning of the 14th. I woke around 5:00am to head off to Heathrow. After getting ready and transporting over (via the Tubeular), I arrived at 6:40pm (just ... read more

Hallo! It has officially been announced: JOSEPH BIDEN will be speaking at Syracuse University's 2009 Graduation! I am so excited!!! My parents and I will be at graduation this year, honoring the diplomacy (is that the right word) of my cousin Blake. We are extremely proud of her...and Vice President Biden makes the day just that much better. Tomorrow Tara (I mean Madison...you'll find out soon) and I leave for BARCELONA....It is officially SPRING BREAK!!! I took my last midterm today, and free (for a week that is). So let me fill you in on my week. Monday: Spent doing papers. One entitled: "Contextualizing the Emerging Picture of Modern Britain through English Comedy" Tuesday: In a spur of the moment idea, because as Lady Tara says "you can just do these kind of things in London", ... read more

Hallo!!! Wait until you hear what happened to me at the BBC on Monday....but first... What an interesting and crazy few days I have had. Lets begin with Monday morning: Monday, after arriving home early in the morning. We took the tube home to our flat, I came into my bedroom, dropped off my backpack, and jumped directly in the shower. It felt great!!!! If I could have stayed in there all day, I would have (seriously). After I was forced out by time, I got dressed and headed off the BBC. They are testing me out in a new Sitcom....just kidding (imagine though?) My class was scheduled to take a tour of the building and learn a little about it. Well....despite getting lost on the way there...twice, the best thing happened! So...there we are, ... read more

Hallo, I just got back from an AMAZING, RIDICULOUS, INCREDIBLE show called La Clique. Description to follow. First.... So tomorrow morning at 5:15am, a taxi will arrive in front of our flat, and we will be getting in (if all goes well). And then off to Heathrow where we will be flying off to Amsterdam for the weekend. We have a jam-packed itinerary of things we want to see, but if I tell you know, what will I have to share upon my return. Which, by the way, is Monday morning. So get out your tissues...because this will be my last entry until Monday. Yesterday, my day off from school, I went to visit the Tate Modern. It is a modern art museum here, and very interesting. You are not allowed to take pictures there, and ... read more
