Well as we all know as travellers things do change! The countdown is now down to 121 days so I'm now leaving nearly 2 weeks early. The route has been re-routed to Hong Kong then on to New Zealand which was my end point anyway. So now I'm going back to the place I love - South East Asia and plan to do all the places that I haven't and really make a go of it! The luck of it today was that I got an email from a horse ranch that have an immediate vacancy in California - this is another option further down the line. 1 day before I go now and I can't wait. Just getting everything ready, whilst having a bit of a panic about trivial things. This time tomorrow i'll be settling into my seat on a plane for 13 hours with Dave trying to get me to play card games, should be fun but it's not long till i'm on a beach in Fiji. Saturday night we had the most yummiest of desserts. A Bakewell Tart. It's an Almond Tart that is so amazing. It comes with cream and blueberry syrup that you can dip the cake in or drizzle it over. I bought one for dessert tonight. It's our last night in Marlow - wine and a bakewell tart. One funny part of our duck tour today was that when the tour guide said "Duck" we had to say "Quack Quack" and move our arms like a duck. It was so funny, people on the street would laugh. I am now typing on the computer while Cindy is trying to get dinner on the table, Tom is setting the table and Russell is cleaning up. I am not being helpful as I feel blogging is more important. Thursday we went to visit the Queen at Windsor Castle. She must not have gotten my telegram because she was not available for me and the guards had absolutely no idea who I was. We have had several highs so far on the trip, a day in Windsor, the girls went out for lunch and to see Toy Story 3 on Friday with Harrison, William and their nanny and of course the delicious desserts that Cindy bakes. Treats and food is probably the reason why I have had a tummy ache for the last two days. Tom was supposed to arrive Friday morning but United Airlines had problems and a 5 hour delay turned into his flight being rescheduled for Friday night. So, it's been a long time between entries on this blog. There are a couple of reasons for that. Firstly, when we left Hungary Ibi and I were so busy fitting in as much sightseeing as we could that I didn't have time for internet, preferring to enjoy the cities and cram in as much as possible than to sit in an internet cafe. Secondly and the main reason. As fate would have it something pretty bad happened. My grandpa (who we brought with us to Hungary and who stayed with relatives as we went to enjoy our tour) passed away. Here, in his birthplace, Hungary.
