We went to Magaluf when thomas was just a bean inside Leanne. After a pleasent flight we reached our destination. We were expecting an all inclusive hotel of a reasonable standardd, however when we arrived, it wasnt as we expected. After a few moans and groans, they finaly accepted our complaint and upgtaded us to a five star, on the condition we went half board instead. we agreed. Our new hotel was gorgeous, as was the meals. Our first full day was fab, well apart from one little incident. We decided to head for the beach, which was just near the hotel. Once we were there we laid sunbathing, however Leanne decided she wanted an icelolly. "I walked along the beach, but i started to feel a bit dodgy, I rested next to a phone box ... read more

Ibiza is THE clubbing capital of Europe, it is a small Balearic Island just off the coast of Spain and during the summer it literally never sleeps. There are clubs all over the island with most concentrated around San Antonio, we stayed at the Jet Apartments in Playa Den Bossa our room looked over on to Bora Bora beach a beach that is known for its all day parties. When we arrived my friend Freddy AKA “Freddy one beer” and I went to a local bar, it was at this bar that I was first introduced to Tequila in a new way, instead of salt & lemon I had it with Cinnamon and orange, it was beautiful. Then the plan was to go to Pacha night club, at least that was the plan, however Freddy had ... read more

At the breakfast this morning, we met up with some people who were going to Formentera Island for the day. Since we had such a good time there yesterday and there wasn't much else to do on Ibiza, we decided to spend another day on Formentera as well. We caught the ferry over to the island and once on board, we all kind of crashed out on the seats. After 45 minutes, we finally arrived on the island. We all met up at the same moped renting shop that Shea and I had went to yesterday. Not everybody was down with mopeding. Some wanted a little more physical exertion so Carl and a few of the girls decided they were going to rent bicycles instead. The rest of us, Shea, Hillary, Rochelle, Maggie, and myself ... read more

This morning we had an early wake up as we had about a 5 hour drive down the coast to the town of Denia in order to catch our ferry over to Ibiza. It was quite sad to leave Barcelona. We were only here for 2 days and in these 2 days, the city became my favorite city in all of Europe. However, I was very much looking forward to 4 nights relaxing on an island in the middle of the Meditteranean. The ferry ride to Ibiza took about 5 hours and was pretty uneventful. When we first pulled into Ibiza harbor and looked out into the town from the upper deck of the ferry, I was amazed. It looked like such a gorgeous little town with a fortress on top of a hill guarding ... read more

IBIZA, ONE OF THE BALEARIC ISLANDS OF SPAIN - JUNE 2003 Yep, I'm at it again, doing the blog time-travel - knocking off the easy ones, of which 5 days in Ibiza qualifies. Looking through my journals and notes, I see that I was remise in writing about our short but lovely visit to Ibiza, one of the Balearic Islands of Spain, in June 2003. We were living in Germany then and decided a trip to Ibiza might be fun because friend Cecila Simon, cousin to Victoria and Marcela Sahade, our Argentine daughters, was living and working as a masseuse on the island of Ibiza, not far from Ibiza City, the main ... read more

The Hotel San Diego was very well situated, the food and service was excellent. The Hotel itself was very well centered and easy to get to almost everywhere. At this time of the year we found it very chilly and windy, but we heard from the locals that normally it is not so. There was an indoor heated pool and a happy hour which had ppl flocking and telling of their adventures. Went on many organised tours, which i honestly would have to look up to get the names:)... read more
