Tuesday September 5th, 2006 Day 19 Mallorca, Spain The day started off a little slow, the humidity and the heat really gets to you. But eventually we made our way down the street (about a half hour walk in this heat) to the local supermarket to get some food for the next few days. It was strange to see some of the things the same as back home, then it was kind of hard to work out what some other things were, for example, meats. We got some pastries at the bakery for breakfast and then made the walk back to the villa. We spent most of the day around the house and in the pool, the boys having a game of trying to head butt a ball while jumping in the pool; this became their ... read more

Monday September 4th, 2006 Day 18 Guildford, England to Mallorca, Spain As it turned out, we didn't get much sleep as we had to be up at about 2:30am to get ready. Chris' mum was nice enough to drive us all the way out to Gatwick Airport (which I'm sure seemed to take longer than it actually did). We arrived at the airport at 3:30am, before check-in even opened, and before the other boys got there. So we sat there waiting, talking about random topics (as we had a habit of doing) making sure we didn't leave our bags unattended OR "they would be removed and destroyed" according to the recording that kept being repeated over the loud speaker. The boys arrived about 25minutes later and we were able to check-in by this time. We then ... read more

Beautiful sunshine, crystal clear blue water, best clubs and DJ's in the world along with exotic looking Spaniards, this was the Belearic Island of Eivissa (Ibiza) Graeme, Maree, Andy and l spent 6 crazy nights going wild on the Island. Ibiza is truly clubbers heaven. From a typically Spanish looking old town, (where we were all chased and thrown rocks at by 5 gypsy kids for not giving them any money!), to the biggest and best clubs in the world located on a breathtaking Island. Ibiza's clubbing season starts in June and ends in September, this is when the Island comes alive and people go mental - literally! A great, cheesy introduction to Ibiza was upon landing into Ibiza airport there was screams from tens of young clubbers with, “wooooo welcome to Ibiza baby…sex, drugs and ... read more

Hi, August was to be a big month for me in terms of travel as i had trips planned to Paris, Spain and Switzerland. 2 down and one to go... We caught the Eurostar from London Waterloo thinking that this would be the most efficient and comfortable journey to Paris, as i had done this relatively short journey a few years back. Unfortunately, the train that departed before us was faulty and held up all the other trains on the line. This resulted in the journey which was meant to take 2 and a half hours turn into a 4 and a half hour marathon and had us stressing about whether we would make it in time to the Moulin Rouge which we had booked prior to leaving. We eventually arrived and checked into our hotel, ... read more

Wow the #1 clubbing island in the world really lived up to its name. Full of brits, aussies, an of course tons of georgeous spanish women. really quite a wild little island. Things can get very expensive with 45euro cover + 12euro pints of 8euro for a stubby of water. But so worth it when there is like 3000 people jammed in the club and there is a half naked girl hanging from the roof. Pretty extreme. Wow. Celebreted Jordan 22nd wiht a bottle of Soco. ·MMMMMMMMMM. then pints in San Antoni then to this huge club called Amnesia. But a binge of a night. Got home at 9am almost sober and crashed. But the island is a little to hyped up for me. Its hard to get into giver party mode after 2 months in ... read more

A week in Alcudia, Mallorca, with my husband, my sister and her husband ... hmmm I was a little worried - I thought it would be high rise and tacky... I was wrong! I found the old town of Alcudia and some Roman ruins, more later... We stayed at the Soliceto Apartments which were about 900 metres from the beach. The apartment was fine, and the property had a bar and restaurant, and a small pool, residents were allowed to use the larger pool of the hotel next door. There was a supermarket nearby and some cheap and cheerful restaurants and bars. The Gool Stadium restaurant next door served lovely breakfasts! The weather was supberb - very hot. The beach was great - big and busy - the sand was fine and the sea was shallow ... read more
