As I mentioned in my previous blog, we took a train from Munich to Venice on the 27th. It was a really scenic six hour train ride because it was going through the Alps in southern Germany, Austria, and northern Italy. We also were amazed to see about a dozen impressive castles from the train that were all obviously hundreds of years old. From the Venice train station, we hopped on a water bus to get to the hostel we were staying at. At this point it was evening so most of the popular sites in Venice were closed, but we still spent the evening walking around the city after eating our first Italian meal in Italy.
