Wondering about traveling from Italy (Rome, possibly) to another country in a weekend.
I will be living in Italy for about 6 weeks this summer in Montepulciano. I am doing this as part of a study abroad through my university so I only have Thursday night through Sunday morning to explore. I really want to go to another country for a weekend and was wondering where the best place would be to travel for the weekend? Is the easiest to try and find a train to somewhere? We were hoping Greece or Spain but we are up for anything!
We would probably be leaving from Rome.
Reply to this Barcelona! easy by plane. Munich in germany is a great place, one of my personel fav in europe, You can do it by plane fast enough to have enough time to visit most of it.
Paris or London is always an option too.
Reply to this I suggest you look into either EuroAdventures or Bus2Alps which are travel services for study abroad students. They both supply transportation by bus to various cities in Europe..usually overnight, which is the cheapest option. They also usually supply a hostel in the price as well and also a little itinerary. You don't HAVE to follow the itinerary but it's usually cultural stuff that you probably want to be apart of (such as going to Capri or entering the Blue Grotto). The nights are all yours to adventure around the cities or whatever.
