I see Ali left off at the train to Cork. I have to hand it to her, she verbally painted her hefty 12-year old co-pilot in a fair light but here's a picture to do him justice! And the funny part is, we actually conned (well, Ali shoved) some poor local out of his seat claiming, "We have 'reservations' for those two seats!" …that was totally incorrect. Confused and abiding by the irrational American's demands, the poor guy wandered around and luckily found another seat. Apparently this train constantly overbooks; people were stuck sitting on the floor, in-between cars, for the 3+hr journey, but not us! (Phew) As we pulled in to the station at Cork, Bryan, an Irish friend of mine that I met while traveling the Galapagos (the "odd-couple" bunkmates on a first-class honeymooners ... read more

Arriving in London with a 64-hour stomach cramp didn’t help matters but I was determined to have a good night since we only had 12 hours to enjoy the London Life. Breezing through Heathrow with only one heated public fight, we struggled onto the tube and it was then that I got the “holy shit I’m back in the UK” shivers. With a big smile our faces we got a swisho black cab to Robyn’s house and did the whole “aaaaagh SO GOOD TO SEE YOU, OHMYGOD I HAVE ELBOWS!!!!!” scream and then moved on into super-freshen up mode and straight back out to meet some of Mik’s friends at the Punch and Judy in Convent Garden. After some rather polite catch up sessions we moved onto a really dodgy American-diner style bar with terrible music, ... read more

We landed in Dublin and found our luck with excellent weather (other than New York), had come to an end. Our time in Ireland and the UK was spent largely getting wet in constant drizzle - an overcast day at best. We had one day in Dublin to allow us to rest before hitting the road for County Cork. Whilst there, we went to Phoenix Park - the largest enclosed park in Europe. Much like Central Park in New York on a less grand scale. We also went for dinner at Ireland’s oldest pub, the Brazen Head. There has been an inn here since the 12th century! We both had a Guinness each and some Irish stew. The real Guinness tastes a lot nicer than the sub-licensed stuff made back home in Australia. Aside from that, ... read more

James is enjoying his job at Smyth's Toys, but he doesn't get two days off in a row, so we decided to try and do a few more day trips on our days off. We went to the west of Cork to a town called Clonakilty. They make black pudding there, which is kind of like sausage, and like a hot dog you really don't want to know what's in it. Clonakilty is along the coast so we went for a walk to Inchydony beach which is a really nice sandy beach just outside of town. We had a great time just walking along the beach, and the day was windy but sunny. We took the scenic route back to town through some farmer's fields and saw some neat old stone buildings. ... read more

This ancient port-town had a feel of timelessness to me. Perhaps this is due in part to the location itself, as it felt less trod upon by tourists, ...or perhaps it was the unyielding historical influence of the place that gave it that feel. The ancestral surnames of O'Sullivan and Harrington still remain, embedded by the passing of countless generations. As we explored this picturesque sea-side village, we were guided to an olde church-yard in the heart of the town. It seemed inviting with it's lush vegetation, neon-green lawn, and sparkling faery flowers. The Olde locked gate around the church perimeter seemed a mere obstacle to the force of the "calling" within. 'Tis a wonder that a local businessman across the street offered us a key that we may enter the grounds at our leisure! ... read more

From Cork, Ireland we intuited our next destination to be Kinsale, which is a small village on the southern coast of Ireland. We took the bus per our intuitions as there was a large focus of energy that we were drawn to, this based on what our vision forces had revealed to us. In the months prior to this trip, we had united our intentions and purpose to serve a primary vision Spirit gave to us for the purpose of this Spiritual Sojourn. We agreed to this knowing that we would be guided to places where all of us could have our spiritual growth needs met. Kinsale was one of those places. The town alone was a delight to me. It was quaint, colorful, bright and cheerful. There were small shops, pubs and restaurants everywhere ... read more

The role that I play as "Visioner" for the group involves establishing connection with local "deities" or "consciousness of nature" to the degree that I am able to know where significant points of connection are, how to find them, and ultimately to make sure we arrive there fully prepared for the experience that awaits us even if I do not know exactly what that experience will look like. We have functioned this way since the beginning of our journey together. Although I am somewhat familiar with this mode of traveling, which the last 2 years of travel in the states have been preparing me for, Becky and Terrie are new to this and are now learning to moving through life entirely on intuition. This is very different from what they have known before - what ... read more

(by Becky) This journey for me is about learning to serve life in all ways, anytime, anywhere & to be mindful & present in each moment. In cork, I was called to serve in a very unusual way. The place we were guided to was called Mount Conway. Housing developments covered the foot of this hill but pastureland/farms take up the middle to top portion of the hill. We found a private drive which looked to have stepped out of a fairytale (major photo op). We met the owner of the home who gave us permission to wander the property. As we explored, we learned about the land and the people who lived there long ago. We learned that an invading barbaric force that attacked those who lived on this land. The ways in which ... read more

(by Terrie) is the Gaelic word for rock, cliff, pillar or monument. From the onset, and meditatively, this Irish word in Itself held an energetic quality for me as we embarked upon this Sacred Journey. As we traversed the ancient land, everything present here seemed to have a voice; the trees held memories, the lands held imprints, even the winds seemed to whisper. My particular challenge as an open empathic intuitive is in discerning which "voice" is relevant or pertinent to our Spiritual work in any given moment. I find it quite easy to be seduced by the myriad frequencies beheld in this land of enchantment. There is an abundance of animate vibrations. Gratefully, I have two very good teachers in Lettie and Becky as they have helped me to laser my focus to that ... read more

The Garnish House Between Ms. Lucey her husband Con, and their impeccable assistant Marcel we had the best time. (A word about Marcel, he was a really lovely young man whose personality and good looks made him the darling of Garnish House - and of us to!), Garnish house (having been named after Garnish Island near Castletownbere, Ireland; an island entirely covered with flowers) is one of our top favorite B&B's to date. I can't say enough about the beautiful displays of food, the huge quantities of it, and the tastiest of homemade scones and breads, full Irish breakfasts, fresh fruits and special ordered gourmet delights. The entire house and rooms were tastefully appointed. Our room included fresh fruit and flowers, and was quite comfortable. I had the best jacuzzi tub experience in our bath and ... read more
