Hawaiian Winter

We decided to go on a Hawaii trip with two of our besterest friends, John and Diana. It happened to fall on Diana's birthday, and, then ofcourse, literally two days before the trip I found out I was pregnant. Fantastic- good thing we planned tons of outdoors activities! I planned this trip knowing it was a possibility (we'd been trying for a few months by then to get knocked up), and went into it with an open mind, knowing I wouldn't be able to do everything I wanted. I would just try to be as not miserable as possible, and not take my hubby and friends down with me. I lost my shit a few times, puked for most of the whale watching tour and had to drink virgin margaritas, but aside from that, I think I did fairly well! It's still one of my most memorable trips! And since John and Diana are still our best friends, I must not have scared them off too badly!

We spent a few days on Oahu, and then another six days on Kauai. My parents belong to a timeshare, and they gave us use of their condo there. Blessedly cheap accommodations- thanks, parents! We spent a lot of time sight-seeing and doing activities. And of course a healthy dose of chill beach and poolside time. 😉
