Covered wagons
The images of the wagons are so familiar to those of us who grew up watching "cowboys & indians" - the pre-cursor to your version of a "painted wagon". Very interesting blog! xx

Hi there travellers, I do enjoy your blogs also passing them to a friend who has done most of the places you have been, including being in Williams about the same time. we often have potluck dinners, everyone takes a meal, whatever you like, main course,
You might have all of one course of not, it doesn't matter. Keep safe.x

Traveling the West
You've seen it all and done it all. Well planned. Glad you are getting to see everything you had hoped for. Are you getting tired? I love the sunrise in that part of the country.

The West is Massive
Yes - we have seen so much more than we expected but thanks again for your advice as we are always aware of not trying to do too much. So we stop every now and again and put our feet up and breath it all in ... ... ...

Double Arch View

Incredible images
Love revisiting these fave arches, red rocks and vast vistas with you, especially since you take us to all those lookout points even when it means trudging uphill and through deep sand. Can't wait to see your next adventure in Bryce (and probably Zion, too). Really amazing countryside!

Westerns
What an awesome place. I guess everyone would recognise it from the westerns we all watched years ago, but the scenery is so epic. Sounds like a very interesting experience - shame you didn't brave the horse though!! Trust Paul to find the TV, westerns must be almost as good as watching Norwich play? xx

Love these formations as well as your great info on the Native Americans. Thanks!

Painted Desert

Amazing landscapes
It may have been overcast, but your Painted Desert photos still looks pretty surreal. Glad you're also meeting friendly Americans and your ankle is up to hikes. One sees so much more when following the trails in parks and not just driving through. You were lucky you didn't get soaked by the storm--the southwest can have some dramatic summer thunderstorms. Hope you enjoy some and stay dry!

Painted Desert

Wonderful pics
Your blog is very welcome, fascinating facts & background to the area you are in at the time & great pics too as usual. Love your camper van, can't be difficult trying to find it in a row - interesting paint effects. You will find living in a house very mundane when your travels are over!! xx
