Armed Escort
Gosh, what a story - though you went through a very stressful experience to collect such a tale. I've been in several armed escorts, but never were there shots fired in anger. Hope you are all feeling fine now. Just a question, how many hours was the journey with the armed convoy?

Mozambique Convoy
Hi there - received your comments and just to let you know that the armed convoy journey was about two hours and yes we are fine now. Cheers - The Silvernomads

I don't know, no blogs for ages then 2 come at once .....! You give a real impression of the colour & vivacity of the area & people who are so welcoming which must be great to be on the receiving end of. Love the colours & the happy smiling faces of the childreN, so joyful.

Namibia
The chicken/beer scenario is definitely on the unusual side of a lot of unusual things you have seen/posted. However I guess you can adapt to most things in the end. Saves on washing up at least!! Love the pictures & your blog Sheila, very interesting insight into a country seldom on anyone's holiday list. Love from us both.xx

Hi Guys - very much reminds me of our trip to Africa in 2008 although our weather was much better. Enjoy yourselves. Isn't the scenery in Namibia gorgeous and ever-changing? Flap those dishes!!

WOW
Can't beat your good fortune to be there for this shot. Not just a girl in a wash basin...it's a girl in a wash basin...paddling in Tonle Sap...with a python! Wow!

Thanks for your comment
Glad you liked the shot - it's always about being in the right place at the right time but you have to be lucky to be there in the first place......

Mixed Emotions
Your latest blog was so interesting & so haunting. Everyone knows something of the history of the regime, but it's when you hear of the facts that have actually touched a person/family as you did, it makes it more real somehow. xx

Wendy Wu
Hi Sabina - Thanks for your comments on our blog, we used Wendy Wu for our trip - The Grand Tour of Indochina a 28 days tour which covered, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. We particularly loved Luang Prabang and wished we could have had longer there. Happy travelling with best wishes from Paul and Sheila

Explosion!
Wow, you seem to have captured an explosion of colour, noise & mayhem with the lifestyle of the local people. It sounds like sensory overload in some respect, but at the same time very vibrant & interesting. The tunnel experience must have been interesting, but as you say, not built with Western Civilisation in mind. xx

Happy New Year
Hi Christa and Reiner - Lovely to hear from you and glad you enjoyed our blogs of Costa Rica. We are currently staying in a little fishing village in Devon overlooking the harbour, although picturesque we have not seen much sunshine and both of us have had dreadful colds (we kept so well on our travels) so are really looking forward to our next adventure in Indochina - see you there.......
