Well, it is good to know that your trip is not all play, that on occasion you have to do laundry and cook/bake. Sounds great! As always, keep sending the great photos and info and always love water and sunset pictures!
Happy New Year and thank you! Thanks so much for sharing your travels. The information enlarges and invigorates my life here in the 'Burg. I look forward to hearing more. Be well and happy in 2012.

Happy Holidays What more could you guys ask for than what you are doing right now? What a LIFE. By the way is there a chance you could get one SUN RISE. Best of luck and happiness.
What a life you two are having. You retired at the right time. The new accounting system is a challenge and work is not as much fun anymore. Keep the blogs coming. I enjoy reading them and looking at your beautiful pictures.
Nancy
sorry Bob and Janice,
I have so enjoyed reading your regular accounts. And as a historian see so much value in what you are commenting on. (Never mind what a science teacher, English teacher, whatever - might also gain.) As a result I am sending your website address to several folks I deal with on a regular basis. Perhaps you all will end up with an "eastern shore" connection that wants to visit with you when you come back into "our area."
Keep up the great logs/blogs/whatever they are called.

John
Hey Mr and Mrs Walley, its me Zac, the tour guide from Asa Wright Nature Center. I am just checking out your blog. I find it very cool so be safe and don't forget me........oh and keep up the good work!!!
Rainy Day It is raining in Ithaca as well. The leaves are at peak. some farmers managed to get in a third cutting of hay! There are some perks to living in the Northeast.
Enjoy some steel drum music for me!
Sorry I missed you Sorry I didn't get to say Hi when you were in the "burg". Will look forward to next year! Sounds like you're doing well and enjoying every day. Yeah!
Cannonballs Hi Janice and Bob! So great to read your newest update....Whoever told you the tree was called a Cannonball tree was absolutely right. We saw a lot of those in Panama. They have amazing flowers on them don't they? Wishing you continued safe and spectacular travels.
great photos..except ONE Funny...it almost sounds like you are winding down...guess that is exactly what you are doing, tho, eh? Poor Sailor...quite the dilemma, so what is best for him? [or her?] Hope it works out alright. You don't want to lose your "second mate", if there is such a thing. Your photos of sunsets are absolutely gorgeous, and especially loved the one leaving Granada even tho there are no blues, pinks, or oranges. Just so tranquil!!! However,..............the "crawling" table??????????? Not one of my favorites...gives me the creeps! Thanks for caring...LOL. Lots of work getting boat out of water and emptying the frig and freezer..just like you went through a year ago. Old hats at that now, no doubt. Do you believe in "boat yard sales"? Ok, maybe there is no such thing, but sounds like a lot of people do the same thing, so it could be a whole marina sale. Just a thought. I never liked them personally, but Bill lives to paw through other people's junk. The weather here is really brutal ... heat index in Ithaca of 114. that is just NOT nice!!! It is supposed to break Sunday. Too hot to even enjoy riding the cycles. Have to ride before 10 a.m. or after 8 p.m. and then it is getting too close to deer crossing time, so no riding at that point. We are looking forward to seeing you in Sept...enjoy yourselves with your new found friends and fellow(ette) travelers. Love to you, cyndie & bill
Enjoying following your travels Janice! Hi Janice, it's been ages but just wanted you to know that you are still missed. I enjoy reading about your travels. I'm not sure I could do it so I'll let you do it and I'll live it vicariously! We just took a two week road trip out west, drove cross country to Mesa Verde, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon and Yellowstone. It was awesome but the room hopping got old by the end of the trip. I've decided I love to travel but look forward to coming home. So not sure if I could do it as extesively as you are. Speaking of which - where are you going when you say "home"? Continue to travel safely, would love to hear from you if you have the time. Linda
Beautiful pictures! Hi Janice and Bob,
Kevin and I just got back from a 2 week sailing adventure around Lake Ontario. It was our first "long" sail. We thought of you both often as we came to the conclusion that there is nothing better in the world than being on the sailboat and traveling. It was truly the best 2 weeks of our lives! We learned so much and met so many fascinating people. We just wanted to keep going. I know it doesn't compare to what you both are doing but it did clarify for us that we want to do the same thing someday. We are going to try and make "someday" come much sooner!! Our house is for sale and we are looking for a larger sailboat that we could travel with. Our current boat went up for sale and we had an offer in 4 days and are waiting to have a survey completed. You never know when you might see us in a port!!
I hope you will be able to come to Navy Point when you return for 2 months. We are all looking forward to seeing you and hearing tales of the high seas!
Best to you...
Peggy
Like so many others we love to travel and we love to sail so cruising makes a lot of sense. Janice has retired from Cornell as a business manager and Bob has retired from South Seneca school district as the high school principal. It's time to sell the house, get rid of whatever doesn't fit on our 40 foot Caliber LRC named Tsamaya (this means Travel Well in Setswana) and set off to see the world. Our reasons for publishing this blog is twofold, first to keep in touch with our friends and family and secondly to share our experiences.
