the 100 picture Congratulations on your one year anniversary. It is so funny that this week Cathy said...you know I have started my second year as a principal. It seems longer than a year since you retired I love the 100 picture..it remined me that the 100th day of school is around the corner!
I love your stories and your adventures!
This was a great message. I enjoy sharing your adventures with you. You both must be having a wonderful time. Congratulations Janice on "A"cing your test. Enjoy your journey and continue sending us these great blog messages and photo's. Lynn
glad to hear from you Janice and Bob,...I was getting nervous that there would be no sunset,...but you squeaked it in at the end. Thank you. We were able to leave NY a week ago, missed the storms in NY, waited out the ice storms in NC and SC at Ashland, VA...arrived in Myrtle Beach day before yesterday. It is still cool,...but not as cool as T-burg and glad to hear that you are finally in shorts and T's. Incredible how many great people you have met and the number of individuals that have been added to your emailing list. You are two very fortunate and deserving people. Bob...you need to smile more when having your pic taken...I know you are a jolly fellow, so show it...LOL Take care, and let me know when you head out into the Atlantic,...until then, enjoy life, each other, and and all that is around you. love ya, cyndie
can do spirit Janice and Bob,
It was so great to read your blog and get caught up with you since your visit here. All sounds wonderful, you both look well and here is hoping the swells are at minimum when you depart for the Bahamas. Sail safely friends and keep up the great writing. (Somehow I just know it is Janice doing the version we all get to read.) :)
You two look great I'm hooked on your blog--preempts all previous plans. I love all the pics.
Thought of you when in Sicily for Xmas--check out Ortegia--the old city of Siracusa on the south east portion of the island. While Laurie and I were looking at some small beautifully painted wooden fishing boats, I wondered if you'd pull in some day.
Thanks for taking us along
Thanks so much for sharing the trip.
Bob and Janice,
Please know that Linda and I are enjoying the blog accounts and wish you continued success, safety and happiness as you continue on your "dream voyage." The Christmas newsletter was wonderful and in turn we with you and the kitty crew a happy and healthy New Year.
All the best,
John and Linda Furey
Have a great holiday. Sounds like a lot of fun except Janices tendonnitus(sp) and Bobs blog writing, which was terrible (your welcome Bob - but just kidding). Have a great holiday and we enjoys traveling in a sail boat through you guys. Jay & Veronica
caught up with you!! Alanna passed us your blog link and now I am subscribed. Read all the way through all of your entries while sitting at the front deak at the Lab of O in a pretty snowfall today. We've had a cold December after a warm October/november, but then you've heard that from others I'm sure.
Many of the stories you tell remind me of our trips through the canals of Canada on the tri and the Carver. It was fun to follow along and we'll definitely stay in touch now.
One good thing -- you have to admit. Tom Fowler will never say to you again "Are you taking care of MY BOAT??" Many happy holiday wishes. we too may be in FL in Feb/March, headed to see state parks, maybe as far south as the keys. Byt hen, you will be in the Islands, eh?
Wow...love the history! Hi Bob and Janice,
Sorry to say Bob, but I love the history and information you are sharing! Kevin and I hope that you feel better soon and that Janice's tendinitous clears up quickly. We continue to live vicariously through your adventures! Beautiful pictures. Hope you have a very Happy Holiday!!
We always enjoy your blog entries and sorry Bob, but you did a great job. Hopefully Janice will be able to take over soon. Would love to see the video on Janice's facebook page.Take care, keep in touch and Happy Holidays and be safe.
St Marys It was so nice to read your blog on the travels of the ICW in GA. We moved here 5 years ago from Ft Lauderdale. Patti and I, like many other new residents came upon the St Marys by chance and I fell in love with the waterfront and the people. We bought a house, moved in with our less then teenage girls and never looked back. Our girls are now in high school and have matured into natural southern charms (easy with so many friends from great families) . Our son will be finishing up his masters program and will be looking for work in Jacksonville and Brunswick so he can move back home and have plenty of time to visit Cumberland Island and all coastal Georgia has to offer. Thanks for the blog, your kind words stoke the flame we have for St Marys.
amazing always love reading about your adventures, pictures do tell a lot about your explorilng, know you both love to do that.will look forward to the next entry. finally got the e-mail, Sue did also, it was spam the was the problem. enjoy , know you are doing just that.
open to possibilities Your travels continues to remind me of all the possibilites in any journey if one is open to them. Your blog sparkles with a sense of gratitude! Enjoy!
Hello Janice&Bob
We are back frm Germany and are catching-up with life.....
Enjoyed your latest blogs about S.C. and Georgia.....spent some time in S.C. and also in St. Marys.....what a time you are having.....
Keep us up to date.... we are having a good time following your progress....
Love, Anna&Heinz ng
Great as always. I love reading the captions and info attached to each picture, I even enjoy the history of the area (must be a sign of age for me, because I was never interested in history that much!). Keep up the great work and continue on your great voyage.
safe sailing to you Hello, I ran across your blog entry, and wonder if you are stopping over in Wrightsville Beach. I will look for a blue hull. We are not sailors, only Hobies and Sunfish league. Here's wishing you calm seas.
Good Time Sounds like you are having a wonderful time. Love your reports. My mom often referred to the color "sky-blue pink" when I was growing up and I loved to check out the sunsets to see the colors...still do. When we lived on S. Aurora street hill Linda and I would sit out on our porch and check out the western sky which we faced. Absolutely beautiful! Now that we are on Burleigh Dr. (off Winthrop Dr. near the mall) we still check them out. Good sailing!
Love the updates!! Hi Bob and Janice-
You guys are doing an excellent job- this should be featured in a cruising magazine! We really look forward to receiving the updates and are enjoying "your" trip. :) Looking forward to the next excerpt- happy sailing.
Mary and Don
Glad to hear Glad to hear you are having a good trip. Thank you for the nice photo's along the way and in the future we hope to see you along the route.
Like so many others we love to travel and we love to sail so cruising makes a lot of sense. Janice has retired from Cornell as a business manager and Bob has retired from South Seneca school district as the high school principal. It's time to sell the house, get rid of whatever doesn't fit on our 40 foot Caliber LRC named Tsamaya (this means Travel Well in Setswana) and set off to see the world. Our reasons for publishing this blog is twofold, first to keep in touch with our friends and family and secondly to share our experiences.
