Back to Phahurat today, which I visited when I’d first arrived here. Today is much quieter than last time, a Sunday, as there aren’t the extra stalls on the pavement. But it’s still pretty hectic. There are stalls selling Christmas decorations and lots selling haberdashery, so I buy some ribbons, lace and beads to customise some of my tops. Yes, me, who has trouble sewing on a button, is going to “customise” my clothes. I can always wear the ribbons in my hair if it doesn’t work out! Phahurat leads into Chinatown so I walk through there to get to the pier…..in a roundabout way….. I end up completely lost, and all the street signs are in Thai!
