So many places to see and only one life to do it. My bucket list gets bigger by the year.

I was police/fire dispatcher in the San Diego County region for over 25 yrs. After that I worked for Motorola as a Application Specialist for 3.5 yrs. When my team had a RIF, I decided it was just time to retire. So here I am ready to travel, but for my enjoyment, not for work.

Frenchy

Retired from the Army National Guard after nearly 30 years, Frenchy has started the wheels moving on the RV and her and Scout are off on their convoy of one! This journey around the country is a trip in search of peace, kindness, and remembrance. This new journey is focused on a military past, the foggy memories of war, and exploring the avenues of how a Nation continues to Care for the Families of America’s Fallen Heroes.

Scott Sewell

Scott Sewell is an award-winning landscape photographer who specializes in California Coastal, High Sierra and travel photography. He likes rocks, waves, clouds, contrast, texture and black and white images but has been known to shoot people, buildings and in color. A former IT professional, he is an adept user of the digital darkroom and often prints, mats and frames his own work using fully archival materials. Recently, he has converted most of his portfolio to dye-infused metallic prints which offer a spectacular presentation for both his Black & White and Color work. A lover of the Western outdoors and a seasoned traveler of coastal and mountain California, he has been roaming the headlands and inlets of the Mendocino Coast and in search of images for most of the last decade. He has also spent many miles on the trails of the Eastern Sierra on foot and horseback – Ansel’s country – doing the same. He also travels internationally with trips to the UK, France, Italy and an epic month-long trip to Argentina, Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands. He is always accompanied by his wife, June, an attorney, indispensable photography consultant and the love of his life.

I travel from coast to coast as a magician assistant for school shows. Traveling full time isn’t just a vacation. It’s hard work that also comes with challenges. It taught me to live outside of my comfort zone and changed the way how I look at the world. I long for home all the time. I miss my bed and my mom’s home cooked meals. How I wish my dog, my family, and friends can witness this journey with me. I have seen the poorest to the most wealthy. Different cultures, cuisines, style, and the scenery made me more open minded. Meeting strangers brought me out of my shell. Hikes to the top can be exhausting, but the views are worth it in the end. Traveling into the unknown helped me grow as a person and become more understanding. Travel changes the mind, body, and soul.
