I'm a first time blogger....and feel super awkward about it. I graduated from college a year ago, did the work thing, and now, due to some unfortunate circumstances, am looking to traverse the lands and gain some rewarding experiences. I've gone to South and South East Asia multiple times, mostly to visit family, but now I want to try looking at traveling differently...go to places that I wouldn't normally go to and find beauty in the things that I would normally ignore. My recent trip to Switzerland (also my first time in Europe) inspired me to really try and do things out of my comfort zone. I don't always need to know people and have some rigid plan in the places I visit; spontaneity is beautiful and so,so difficult for me to embrace. I am hoping that writing this blog will help me get out of my comfort zone whenever I do get the chance to travel. My main goal right now, after a much needed trip to India to see my family, is to find a place where I can volunteer (preferably with animals or marine conservation). If any one has experience with volunteer opportunities like the ones I mentioned, I would love to know your experience. View "gopshilps" Travel Blog

My grandfather landed on the shores of Gallipoli 25 April 1915. It's an honour to accompany my darling 90 year old mum (his daughter) to attend the commemoration ceremony. She's a grandmother and great-grandmother. I'm a grandmother...Grandmas in Gallipoli.... View "grandmasingallipoli" Travel Blog
