So the weatherman was right on. Said it would be sunny (NOT) turned out cloudy and cool so that was good. I told you about the village Lech in one of my blogs. High end with Royals and Celbs.(skling) We were in the 5 star hotel where Princess Diana visited winter of 1991. I included her picture on the wall in the hotel plus some images in the hotel. Hello again blogsters. We took the bus down town St Anton as we hadn't explored that before. Not a whole lot of folks there as they must be up on the mountain as it was a very nice day. We did take the regional bus to Landeck later about an hour from here. The ride was nice but Landeck was not at all special. Tomorrow the forcast is for rain. Not sure we may take the car and run up to Lech. An up scale ski resort about a 30 min. drive. Sunday is our last day here and the weather is supposed to be OK. I'm sure we will go somewhere. Well it's already thursday. The lift we took today only runs Wed. and Thurs. It goes high above the valley below. We took a gondola car for the next 30 minutes and then we followed this narrow rock strewn trail for 1 1/2 hours high above the small villages. At that point we turned back because we would have had to descend a very steep trail down to the villages below. This day the views were all we could have expected. Hello all 70 of you. How do I know that 70 of you can't wait for the next episode? I don't.! ? All I know is it goes out to that many email address's Anyway today was special. Fantastic weather as we took multiple cable cars to some awesome views. One had 3 different cable cars sections that went to the very top. The other was 2 very long chair lifts. One was a 4 seat and the other was a 6 seater. We had them all to ourselves. Always nice to take photos in the open air. BTW the air was wonderful! This evening we walked around the area of the village we are staying in. The roads in the village are like the tentacles of an octopus.? You almost need a gps to find ... read more

Tomorrow we move to Austria. but today was very nice. Warm and sunny. We drove through some of the countryside on which we had not been before. Being Sunday, everyone was on the roads. So many cars it looked like there had been hundreds of funerals. And of course motorcycle groups, bicycles, hikers and farm tractors. Yet we enjoyed the travel and the beautiful scenery. One of the images you will see is a Bauernhof. A house and barn together. Very typical in Germany and Austria. Some are even in the village as is this one. They drive their tractors on the roads to get to their fields. Our trip down to the Austrian alps will take about 4 hours depending on photo ops??
