Our last authentic Parrilla in Mendoza Argentina.....the beef is grass fed ( goodness knows there's tons of land for the moo moo's to roam) and delicious! As we're ready to leave Argentina we are also sad to say goodbye. Although the currency is wonky......the countries beauty is immense! We are so lucky to have explored and experienced 80% of this vast country.... read more

Going to the BOCA soccer game in Argentina was an experience of a life time. I really didn't understand the extent of how serious this country takes their soccer ( futbol) It totally puts our sports fans to shame....seriously it's embarrassing! There was 50,000 fans, they were hanging from the cement pillars, stacked in every aisle....jumping, dancing, singing and waving their arms in a crazy bicep curl kinda way....it's their cheer. Uncle Cameron you would be totally out of business in this country, these fans need no help! Olivia' perspective - when the players of the VenezuelIan team came out everyone started to whistler.....so I joined in whistling and cheering. Little did I know the whistling is the form of booing....I quickly stop :):)... read more

"Poor Niagara Falls" quoted - Eleanor Roosevelt She was absolutely right!! Iguazu Falls is perched in the far northweast corner of Argentina bordering Brazil. We were lucky enough to get a cheap flight and escaped the 18hrs. bus ride..... thank goodness. Its so far off the beaten path but WOw is it worth it! It's hard to explain the amazing strength and energy that you feel when you are in the presence of such a incredible wonder. We loved it so much we ended up going back the next for a few more hours to explore. Sean took a zodiac ride right into the falls.....quite a different perspective! We saw monkeys, Coatis', lizards, a lucky siteing of a caiman and Max made a friend with a butterfly. The Coatis is a relative of the raccoon ( ... read more

After covering over 12,000 km driving in the RV, making our way to Uruguay and exploring Colonia, Cabo Polonia, Punta de Diablo and the whole east coast of Uruguay arriving in Punta del Este was a wonderful break. Believe it or not this can take a toll on you. We are all needing a break from our transient life style as well as each other. We rented a one bedroom apt. through airbnb which has proven to he a helpful website on our travels. Max and Liv shared the bedroom with 2 single beds while Sean and I slept in luxury. I on a single daybed and Sean on the single trundle mattress that pulls out from under the daybed! GER-Day....memories of living in Ottawa ( eh Millie) We had a little kitchen that had all ... read more
