The last blog I wrote our plan was to drive to Monte Leon....change of plan! Sean and I were driving along solving all the worlds problems:) (kids napping) when we saw a huge sign saying Puerto Deseado 120km with a picture of Rockhopper Penguins, we look at each other and said let's do it! Yahoooooo ...this was an unforgettable experience! Roxana, Ricado and Javier at Darwin Expeditions were so gracious, letting us park in their parking lot as well as plugging in. They were amazing with the children, Max made instant buddies with our guide Freddy .......he pegged him as a human Rockhopper penguin(so true) We left for Isla de Pinguino at 8am , as we were floating out of the river to the Atlantic Ocean we saw both Commerson and Austral Dolphins. The Commerson dolphins ... read more

We arrived in Camarones and decided to stay put for 3 days. Hallelujah! Camarones is so simple and tranquil, a fishing village of about 1500 people. We spent our days dodging the tide on Camarones rocky cliffs and beaches and the nights BBQing local shrimp/fish, watching the sunset and playing cards. The kids became friends with a local dog.....Muffet/Rosie reincarnated (my old childhood dog) We enjoyed our final night in Camarones dining out eating their locally caught salmon which is a white salmon and their Lagostinas (shrimp).....MVP this is the place for you! Tomorrow we are on our way south to a place called Monte Leon!... read more

Jan.2/15 On the road again......I find Willys voice in my head often these days:) We have just left a small corky village called Puerto Pirmades, on the Pennisula Valdes, which is an animal reserve for multiple creatures! We arrived here on Jan.2 at about 6:30pm there is only one camp ground in the village to plug into.....it is like nowhere I've ever experienced, we are crammed in here like sardines. I feel like a through back from the 60's a true hippie:):) Jan.3/15 We woke in Puerto Pirmades and began to explore, this is a huge whale watching village for the " Right Whale" season ( Sept-Dec.) we missed that but decided to jump back into the RV and drive to Punta Norte the most northern point on the peninsula which was 80km from the village ... read more

Max's Blog Entry Hi guys, We are 2 weeks into our trip, my favourite experience so far was when we went to Punta Tombo. It's the 2nd largest colony of Magellanic Penguins in the world. The Penguins are really cool because they are so cute when they waddle. For the penguins to find food they swim up to 600km. They eat the food then swim back home to find their burrow where their family is. To feed their family the Penguin barfs the food up and shares. It's really hard for the Penguins to find their burrows because there are hundreds of thousand, and if you walk in front of the penguin they get confused because they like to take the same route. Something that I find hard is to make friends because I don't know ... read more

I'm writing this sitting listening to the Atlantic Ocean, feeling the breeze and smelling the fresh ocean air oh right and drinking a glass of fabulous Argentinian wine:):) livin life! Well it's day 4 on our wild adventure. We got the RV yesterday and by the time we left BA it was around 4pm, we were all so excited to get on the road! Wowzers RVing in Argentina is crazy....wild roads and NO buddy speaks English, but we are having loads of laughs. Last night we drove about an hour outside the city to a camp site that had a swimming pool, it's 37 with humidex......and when you stop the RV turns into an oven....It was a site for sore eyes. Going swimming was an ordeal......they had a public nurse on site, we had to all ... read more
