can't wait Can't wait to see this part of the world. Those tingle trees look fabulous. I've never heard of them. Regarding the weather, we've only had about 3-4 decent days since we have been home.
A ghost or not a ghost. Hi Jenny and Pete
Pete and I rushed to get the original photo to enlarge it for a clearer look but were dissapointed to see that the image in the mirrow was just a reflection of the tour guides arm plus a bit of the bunch of flowers in the vase. You certainly gave us a fright along with the couple we are staying with at present in Perth!
My daughters have just spent some time together in the US where they were shown a photo by a fellow tourist of a haunted house she visited which showed a man in a room standing in front of some furniture. Trouble is you could look right through him to the furniture behind. Now that would be freaky as the woman did not see him whilst taking the photo! We will no doubt try again when next we hear of ghosts!
Some really beautiful countryside in the west,we hope to get back over someday. You still have lots of wonderful places to see as you head south. enjoy
WA Hi Dawn
Yes WA is certainly beautiful. We are heading south for 2 weeks before settling in Perth for 5 months so looking forward to exploring that area too.

Exmouth to Geraldton Hi Suzanne and Pete
You certainly have given a beautiful description of this part of the world. I hope that you are going to convert your notes into a travel book eventually. It will be great reading!
You both look fit and as brown as berries. There will be folk 40 years younger than you who will be extremely jealous of both your appearances and your adventurous life style.
I love the shells and the pink lake but how you ventured along that old wooden pier with sharks hanging around just waiting for the boards to drop a meal or two between cracks, beats me.!
I am back in Melbourne now, enjoyed my 3 day stop over in Hong Kong and hope to return for another stay there one day.
Keep well and keep me posted.
All the very best
from Kyra
Blog Hi Kyra
Yes we are hoping to make it into a book at the end of our travels whenever that will be!
Hopefully we will get to Hong Kong too one day.
Thanks for the lovely comments on our tans and bodies. We can't help but get tanned with all this hot weather and I think now that we have left Darwin our wine and beer consumption has dropped considerably. We still have happy hour with our neighbours occasionally but not every night anymore!
We will be in Perth until the end of April so my blog will once again go into hibernation but I will still keep in touch.
Regards
Suzanne

4 August, 2012 - Peter and Suzanne, being of the Baby Boomers generation, are now setting forth on the next travel phase of our lives. We met many years ago in Cape Town, South Africa, Suzanne from Oldham in England and Peter from Cambridge in New Zealand, on an overland expedition taking six months to get to London. A year later we then journeyed from London to Australia overland taking 10 months. We settled in Rotorua, New Zealand, had 3 great kids who are now doing their own thing and it is now, excitingly, time for us to recommence where we left off. We have, with much trepidation on my... full info
