This is a great view from inside the Guangzhou Museum. It is free to enter, however the line to get a ticket may take up to 1/2 hour, but well worth it.

This street is across from the "One-Link Plaza". This is a place to get all kinds of holiday decor, toys and accessories. It is located at: 39 Jiefang Rd. South, Yuexiu Dist. 0900-1900. Take Metro line 2 & 6 and get out at exit B2.

One of the stores I found at the One-Link, all they sold were cows, or rather statues and toy cows.

As one moves to higher floors at the One-Link Plaza, the quality goes up as well as the prices. On the roof is a beautiful garden, but all the plants and flowers are fake.

Shamian Island looking toward the north side of the Renmin Bridge. Shamian Island (also Romanised as Shameen Island or Shamin Island, both from its Cantonese Chinese pronunciation) is a sandbank island in the Liwan District of Guangzhou city, Guangdong province, China. The island's name literally means "sandy surface" in Chinese.

Silly Submariner
I hope that you are doing very well in Guangzhou and you have fully acclimated. Enjoy yourself there. Extremely hot in Lewis County this summer and very humid. We have had a "drought" and tornado this summer. The corn still grows. Take care. Derek
