Looking south to the Pearl River and the Canton Tower from the 99th floor of the IFC building. After 5pm the bar on the 99th floor is open to all visitors. It takes two elevators to get there. After exiting the 2nd elevator on the 99th floor take a right where you will come to a Y in the hallway. If you go right you will get to the bar which has views to the north along the length of the Mall of the World. If you go left about 25 feet, there is a door to the left that opens to a conference room with floor to ceiling windows with views to the south and west of the Pearl River and the Canton Tower.

A stack of used three wheeler bicycles. This location is the pedestrian overpass onlong the Dongfeng Road that crosses over the railroad tracks, just to the east of the Xichang Interchange. One can find at this location all types of bicycle locks and accessories for sale.

All these bicycles are for rent on an hourly rate. For the past few months several bicycle companies have made available thousands of bicycles for rent in the Guangzhou area. They are yellow, blue and orange in color.

This is the Furniture Market. There are many pottery stores here as well. To get here, take Metro line 1, get off at the Huadiwan Stop, and depart from exit D. It is open from 9am to 9pm.

If you like JADE, this is the place to go. Take metro line 6 to Changshou Lu stop and depart via exit A. Open: 10AM to 5PM. As you depart exit A, the jade market is in a small store to just to the left.

Inside the store are many stools for customers to sit on while examineing the various jade items. If exiting the store on the street side, to the right are a few more jade stores to visit.

A great place to get a picture framed. There are lots of small shops in the area, at very low and fair prices. To get here travel on Metro line 1 to the Peasant Movement Institute stop and take exit D.

After exiting, walk in same direction of traffic for 3-4 blocks. Once you see a temple on your right you are at a T in the road. Across street see 5 story building pictured. In the basement are framing shops. All other floors have paintings framed and frame less. Walking down street with traffic are many smaller framing shops, also selling paintings. Great place to get a great deal.

If you need reading glasses, sun glasses or even prescription glasses this is the place for you. Take metro line 1 to the Ximenkou stop and depart via exit A. Open 10AM to 5PM. Take a left when departing exit, Walk against traffic, at first intersetion make another left walking against traffic.

I hope that you are doing very well in Guangzhou and you have fully acclimated. Enjoy yourself there. Extremely hot in Lewis County this summer and very humid. We have had a "drought" and tornado this summer. The corn still grows. Take care. Derek
