Do octopus really have balls? Not Really: Octopus balls is a ball-shaped snack made of a wheat flour-based batter and cooked in a special moulded pan. They are typically filled with minced or diced octopus (tako), tempura scraps (tenkasu), pickled ginger, and green onion.

China Import and Export Fair - Canton Fair exhibits over 150,000 kinds of quality Chinese products and overseas commodities with distinctive features. Great place to get free samples. But one should have a stack of business cards on hand.

On a bicycle ride to the south side of the Pearl River I say this man selling a snapping turtle on the road side. He wanted 650Y or about $100.00.

I hope that you are doing very well in Guangzhou and you have fully acclimated. Enjoy yourself there. Extremely hot in Lewis County this summer and very humid. We have had a "drought" and tornado this summer. The corn still grows. Take care. Derek
