Last time I visited a cave was 3 years ago in Virginia, and I still had vivid memories. Visiting a cave is like entering a totally different world, not spooky but fascinating. At last minute we decided to go to Kentucky state, mainly to visit the Mammoth cave national park. In Virginia, the cave was small but full of stalactites, stalagmites and other cave structures. In Mammoth cave, it's totally different as its more the sheer size of the cave system that is impressing. During a 2 hour tour, you visit only a very small fraction of the cave system. Some rooms, are big like the biggest concert hall you might imagine, while between them, very narrow passages, (vertical or horizontal), separate them. The forest above is also very beautiful, consisting of very old oak trees. ... read more

OK... so it's getting down to the wire. I now have just 3 weeks left until I leave for Europe!!!! I will be flying out on Sept. 5th into London. Tina Geiman hooked me up with a buddy pass, so that is a major help with my finances. I started getting a lot of gear together that I will need to be taking with me. (I'm scared to see how big this pile gets) That pile is almost as large as the pile of over 1100 songs Scott helped me transfer from my old computer to my laptop. I need tons of tunes to choreograph the madness!!!!! On a lighter note .... The terrorists being caught in London seems to be a bit scary for a lot of people flying. I'm strangely not affected by it. ... read more

The past few days have brought us through Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana. The last two states were by mistake. It turns out that my navigator isn't really good with maps. We've been in Kentucky now for 3 days. I'll be spending a week here in Loisville at a budget motel. I have a lot of work to do over the coming weeks, but I'll try to post some pictures every few days. Soon I'll be alone out here. Brad decided that this kind of work is too hard for him, and I agreed that I'd rather work alone if he was going to be frustrated by maps. We'll be on god terms, and we both had a great time so far. I'm glad I didn't have to drive alone through half the ... read more

Several people have been wondering what country I am in now, whether or not I sold Sara into the white slave trade, etc. Well I am in the United States and no one would buy that damn skinny useless thing but don’t think I didn’t try my hardest. Yeah, we ran outta money. Let's see. Upon returning I played fourteen games of trivial pursuit, worked crew for my dad’s show, watched Shakespeare in the Park's Taming of the Shrew with Michelle, spent some quality time with Jean, and decided it was high time I get my jobless ass to my new home. I had planned to drive myself the thousand miles from Boston to Louisville. Seems simple enough. Of course, nothing is ever simple. On top of the very long list titled “Things that scare the ... read more
