Hello! I've almost been here a week but it feels like I have been here for much longer than that. I really love this city. Let me tell you some things that I have done recently: The other day we went to the Tower of London which was probably one of the coolest things I have done here. We had a chance to see where all the kings lived and we also were able to see all of the crowns that Queen and Kings wore. Sorry, no pictures for those. We actually went on a tour of the White Tower, which was originally a dungeon where they kept prisoners. We had an official tour guide man and he told us that when they were brought to the dungeon, the guards would take all their money but ... read more

After three days of recovering from jet lag, I'm finally back to my normal self. When I arrived at my hostel about 8.30am on Monday morning , I left my things in storage because I couldn't check in until 2pm. I took the underground to Winchester and walked along the Thames. Winchester Station is the best place to start, where on one side of the Thames there is Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament and the other side there is the London Eye. I walked further down the Thames where I walked past Tate Modern and The Globe Theatre. When I walked across the Millennium Bridge towards St Paul's Cathedral, I could see the Tower Bridge in the distance. I caught a quick glimpse inside St Paul's Cathedral because I wasn't up to paying $20 AUD ... read more

I have a cold :( Edit: Scratch that... I have the flu. Bleh! Plus allegies :( But Interlaken is beautiful! You guys need to remember to put your name in your comments ;) So, I just arrived in Interlaken. I got into Bern 2 nights ago, spent yesterday wandering the city on a free rented bike with a Korean girl who was traveling around on her way home after spending a zear in Vancouver, BC. We rode through a woodsy park and saw people zip-lines set up among the trees and I really wanted to do it but I needed a partner and the Korean girl wouldn't do it with me. I almost went back today to try again and find a partner there but I decided to leave Bern instead. I'm running out of time. ... read more

So, I've been a bum and not posted much at all, but it's my last day in Poland, I'm going out for some really awesome pierogi later, and I'm finally at a hostel with wireless internet, yay! The one in Krakòw was nice, but I tried my flash drive with their computer and it just confused it... I got one of those terminal prompt screens when I plugged it in and had to restart, so my internet usage was severely curtailed, but that's okay. Anyway, as promised, a bit more on Polish culture. I also hope to post three more entries today (hurrah for wireless!) on my latest adventures. This will include Gdànsk, my return to Krakòw and the daytrips I took from there to Auschwitz (its own post) and then perhaps one post including Czestochowa, ... read more

Hello! so, we are now into our final week, and the thought of coming home is not a pleasant one! obviously it will be nice to see everyone, but a british summer is not an appealing thought. anyway, what have been up to since i last added to this. Well we are now on Ios, which is certainly a lot more lively than folegandros, which, as great it was to see an fairly untouched island, didnt have a lot going on. Ios, on the other hand, has everything going on. we are staying at a b and b called hermes (although replacing one of the letters with a "p" might be a more appropriate name!), which is the cheapest place so far. this is good for the wallet, but not so good for kerry, who is ... read more

... make sure you leave your usual tastebuds at home ... Ampak najprej lepo po vrsti. Torej! Tokrat odkrivamo Balkan v svoji najbolj pristni, e kar malo orientalski izvedbi. Pot naju je vodila mimo hrvaških naftnih polj (?!) do mejnega prehoda Gradiška (ki je nekoč bil Bosanska Gradiška, a so prvi del besedne zveze lepo prelepili in izbrisali), mimo naju so švigali avtomobili tudi z LJ, MB in CE registracijo - ovitek slovenski, vsebina izključno bosanska. In evo nas v Bosni! Za začetek so naju pozdravili kineski shop, pravoslavna in katoliška cerkev ter imena mest v cirilici. Welcome to Bosna - Serbian edition. To, da smo še daleč od pristne muslimanske izkušnje, so dali vedeti tudi stalno ponavljajoči se napisi prasetina. In pa pravoslavna cerkev v gradnji, s katere se je bahavo sončila srbska zastava. I just looked at all my pictures and forgot to write entrys about them. These are pictures of when we were in Stüttgart, Germany. We visited a small town up in the hills known for its wein and you can see the top of the city from the top. The next town we visited while there was called Esslingen, which was a gorgeous area with lots of shopping and a beautiful St. Johns Cathedral that we were able to sing in. So here are some pictures...... read more

Greetings from Hoboken (town we've been in)! Yesterday, was quite an interesting day as usual. Let me start by talking about something I haven't written much about... FOOD! Well, I've been trying a lot of new (and non-vegetarian) foods, including frog legs, escargot, horse meat, delicious sausage, whitloof, chocolates, and many beers and cheeses. Each morning for breakfast we usually have bread with different spreads, nutella, different cheeses (mmm!), smoked salmon spread, cheese & nutella together (really good!), accompanied with a glass of OJ and a cup of coffee. Each day both or either Ludo and Ria have taken time off of work to take us around. Ludo is a teacher at a school, so we're real thankful he could do that. Yesterday morning, Ludo took Noah and I to the Breendonk Concentration Camp which wasn't ... read more
