Hi all, so, found a computer after 2 days on the little island of Folegandros, on which we have a good few days. we are kind of winding down now, just taking it easy (although none of it has been strenuous!) and are just happy to explore the little islands around us, where there are few tourists, and so can experience a bit of real greece. first, let me fill you in on the last 4 days or so. Hi all, just adding quick entry as havnt had the chance to for a few days. that is because the last two days have been a bit heavy, none-stop travelling for 48 hours. the last time we added sumut was the morning when we left monopoli. from there we changed our plans, deciding to get the ferry to patras from brindisi instead of bari, as i was a bit cheaper. we arrived there at around 2pm, and i just chilled out reading on a bench in the sun by the harbour, and kerry went for a wander, seeing the cathedral etc. [View Full Entry]

Hi all, just a really quick entry as we only have half an hour on this comp in the local tourist info office! had a really good tìme over the last few days, seeing the smaller towns and villages of puglia, but at times it has been frustrating as these places are dead from 12-4, so its hard to get around/find a place to grav some lunch etc. all the same, its been good to the the "real" italy, off the tourist trail. monopoli is really pictureseque, great fishing town so plenty of stuff to sample! got one of 2 buses [View Full Entry]

Hi all, Today we arrived in lecce, our 3rd day in puglia, and what a 3 days they have been,as with the help of our amazing hosts in the b&b in castro, have soaked ourselves in local culture and way of life. Hi all, as requested, im guna describe today as mega, rather than the over used ace. we have had a great day in catania, done loads in the baking sun, lovely. last night was a heavy one, drinking in the under ground bar which is in an old lava cave with a running river through it (its amazing), with a posh, but nice young couple from cheltenham. he was in i.t, really nice fella, bit like tim nice but dim, and she work just to pass the time, rather than needing the money, and liked horses, enough said really. really nice [View Full Entry]

hi all, after a day, which started at half five, of travelling across the island of sicily, we have finally arrived, very tired, at our hostel in catania. it seems pretty good on first inspection, and it has its own underground bar which serves cheap food and drinks, which is ace. i think im guna have the seafood couscous (which is pop in north african-influenced sicily). that and a large beer is 6 euro, so cant go wrong with that. this is the first time we have got to a comp since palermo, so better fill u in about mazara del [View Full Entry]
