My first hot days in England. IT DIDN'T RAIN FOR 3 WHOLE DAYS... and it was sunny and while I don't think that I actually got a tan, I stopped loosing my tan for 3 days :) It makes such a difference to have photo's with blue sky in the background. On Friday morning I caught the train from Southampton down to Exeter (south-west of London on the coast) where my cousin Camilla is at uni. When I left Southampton at 8am it was raining and cold and when I got off the train at midday it was warm and sunny with no clouds :) I got a tour of her uni and then we went into town where I saw Exeter Cathedral, which was huge. We went down to the river and had a ... read more

The Isle of Wight Festival is a three day camping festival located funnily enough in the Isle of Wight. This was my first trip to IoW and we picked the highlight of the summer weather to spend it there. It was a tube / train / hovercraft / bus trip there which took about 3hours all up from home to campsite. The hovercraft was great. I'd never been on one before and it's quite freaky. It's not really that noisy and it was a smooth trip, right from the sandy shores of Portsmouth to Ryde on Isle of Wight. Have to admit though, I spent the whole trip humming 'I've got a ticket to Ryde' It was a fairly painless trip even though we were lugging a fair amount of luggage. There were 3 of us: ... read more

So there i was thinking............i know i know............thinking is a dangerous pastime and especially for me...lol So i had to get my Aussie working holiday visa prior to my 30th birthday and then it dawned on me.........that if i applied for a second year id be out of the criteria as i would be heading downhill fast to 32.....lmao Now i had originally thought that if i had my first year visa and did my 3 months working on the land....id be ok..........but having checked various sites it seems to be the same criteria for a second year with the addition of the 3 years on the land remit...........i haven't seen anything that says i cant try it, however i dont want to waste 3 months for nothing. So im sticking with my one year visa ... read more

Thursday I woke up at 6:30am, pushed my snooze button, finally arose at 6:40am, had a quick shower, realized it was 6:50 and sprinted to the train station. Thankfully I am quick and the train didn’t leave early. Where was I going? Manchester. Old Trafford more precisely. There was 6 of us in total. Stuey started drinking there and then, a few of us had a snooze, and we arrived into Manchester around 9:30. It was freezing, thankfully I had a change of clothes, none of the others did they were all in shorts and t-shirts and frigid. After a feed of McDonalds we rocked up at the ground and got our seats. The West Indies were doing their fielding drills right in front of us so that was good to watch. England won the toss ... read more

Madam Tusauds We used the same ticket that we used the day before for the hop on hop off bus tour to take us to madam tusauds. the museum was a lot different to what i was expecting, i assumed that it would be different levels (everything i london is mulit-storey) of wax models but it was really fun. there were wax figures of the stars, my fav were arnie, nick cage and justin timberlake...of course i've got pictures of all these stars for u all to see! i just need to learn how to upload these pics!! the musem went into the chamber of horrors, which explained the history of serial killers and torcher measures that were used in london. it was great! me and my evil mind! the museum ended with a ride. ... read more
