WOW Ireland. It was Claires choice to come here but boy I'm sure glad she did! It is beautiful. Im still amazed that after all the traveling i've done, the scenery i've seen and architecture i've gawked at, i can still be amazed by a new country. The countries across europe are so completly different from each other. All separte worlds of history. Ive so far experienced Dublin city and Galway. Dublin is wonderful! The Irish people so friendly and helpful, quiet a contrast to the Spanish. We took some timeout the first day to catch Harry Potter at the movies. And then like everywhere in Europe, discovered that Ireland too is having a massive retail sale, so we all went shopping. I had to get another bag to pack all my new stuff and ... read more

Leaving Corfu.... NOOOOO!!! i didnt want to leave corfu! i always said, to me a holiday aint a holiday without the beach! im lucky that we got to experience such such a wonderful place. The ferry to Venice was so boring! there was no casino, no games room, no english tv/movie channels!!! we occupied ourselves by playing cards and someone made up 'categories'. It was an early night for all which left us all feeling really good for the arrival in Venice (i was scared to go back to Italy...ewe!). Venice was gorgeous, built of all little islands, no cars alllowed in the city centre. We drove to Verona for lunch, the home of Romeo and Juliette. We saw the famous balcony and Juilettes house with numerous tributes of love from everyone who visits (yes jabe, ... read more

ROME Ok let me start my Rome entry again, because at the farm we stayed at in Rome the internet was timed and i lost all my work :-( Italy was hot, humid and really dirty. I didnt rate the food, especially disapointed with the pizza, because they only put like 4 toppings on (ham, cheese, mushrooms and tomato) boring!!! We got an Imperial tour guide which took us to the colosseum, thru the ruins of rome, along to the pantheon (a church) and to the Trivie Fountain. The colosseum was different to how i thought it would be. It was falling down and dirty (like the rest of Italy), i pictured the colosseum out of the movie Gladiator! The ruins were interesting, because the peasants went on a riot back when they didnt like the emporer ... read more

Fierenze or Florence We arrived in Florance Sunday arvo. The drive was spectacular to Italy, along the mediteranean coast and the villages all nestled into the cliffs and the pebbled beaches. Gorgeous. We stopped off at a french perfumery first which was really good! (yes Jabe i did spend a lil!!) First stop in Italy was Florence. We did a night drive around the city, had dinner (the lasange was adverage, much better in Oz :-) ) and Janelle (tour manager) took us out into a oub called the RED GARTER. Sounds like a strip joint but it was just a pub with massive Heinekin Kegs that held 3.5L for like 20€. Left by 10pm. The next day was spent with a leather making demonstration and free time to shop and explore. I didn't buy anything. ... read more

Contiki Begins Monday First and foremost the internet isnt as accessable as I thought it would be and Contiki gives u no free time at all!!!! The Royal National Hotel was a nice change from the hostel! Two to a room and our own bathroom!! My luggage was only 18kg for the tour so i was laughing! Wheels rolled at 7am and we were on our way to France on Monday. I,m going to say right now, that this keyboard is really different to our normal ones, so spelling and somethings will prob be werid. We drove to Dover to board the ferry to France. It took 1 1/2 hours and the ferry had 7 decks!! shopping, bars, restaurants ect!! was cool, i,ve never been on anything so big. We stayed at in a campsite in ... read more

Madam Tusauds We used the same ticket that we used the day before for the hop on hop off bus tour to take us to madam tusauds. the museum was a lot different to what i was expecting, i assumed that it would be different levels (everything i london is mulit-storey) of wax models but it was really fun. there were wax figures of the stars, my fav were arnie, nick cage and justin timberlake...of course i've got pictures of all these stars for u all to see! i just need to learn how to upload these pics!! the musem went into the chamber of horrors, which explained the history of serial killers and torcher measures that were used in london. it was great! me and my evil mind! the museum ended with a ride. ... read more
