I would like to go to Quetta but am a white American male. How big of a problem is this?

Quetta, Pakistan sounds very interesting, but I am a white, American male. How big of a problem is this? Can I say I'm Canadian or Western European and be okay? Is it dangerous to say I'm American? Reply to this

Hello David 😊

A couple of my friends recently travelled from India to Iran overland via Pakistan.
In one village the kids threw stones at them and shouted American. Neither of them are in fact American.

Generally while travelling I say whatever it is that will keep me safest. In your position I would say I am from whichever country will cause the least risk of offence, if you dont have to show your passport.

Here are a couple of thread about Pakistan, in case you are interested.
