I want to go to Kerala but i'm afraid of the summer heat

I am on the horns of a fine dilemma. I am travelling to India for 2 1/2 months starting mid May. My companions are my 2 hip millennial boys with whom i spent 4 months in India when they were 11 and 14. Now we are reprising our former journey but must go in May. I really want to go to the south but, to tell the truth, i am afraid of the heat and humidity. I have been reading Chasing the Monsoon and that is inspiring but i must be realistic. We like to travel close to the road, so to speak, and would prefer to eschew AC at least part of the time; but that seems insane at that time of year. Now i have been contemplating Ladakh (we land in Delhi). But i want to be convinced to return to my original plan. I challenge you! Reply to this
