Ethical Wildlife sanctuary volunteering and visit

Traveling through Asia in April and I would like to volunteer, help and visit ethical wildlife sanctuaries
9 weeks ago, February 20th 2024 No: 1 Msg: #211141
Hello everyone, I'll be traveling through the following countries/ areas (Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia and Vietnam) and i'd like to know if anyone knows about ethical wildlife sanctuaries that I could visit and/or volunteer at.
Ethical meaning the animals are not exploited for money, there is no petting, no interactions encouraged with the tourists and the animals are not forced to remain in certain places to entertain the public.
I'd like to do forest hikes as well to see Orangutangs in Indonesia but I've heard some guides feed the wildlife and encourage interactions so i'd like to know if anyone has any recommendations for ethical wildlife tourism in Asia from experience.

thanks a lot for your help 😊 Reply to this
