Welcome to the SkiSet - virgin bloggers but friends of

Next time we will meet in Budgewoi. Where? See my blog
So where the hell is Budgewoi?!
John
Reply to this It was great seeing everyone too!
Teasing me with the sight of all that lovely home-cooked food was slightly torturous 😊
Reply to this Thanks everyone for a great afternoon and making me feel so welcome! Dave & Denise, wonderful hosts. Shane, thanks to you, (via Ethiopia) I actually made the day and got to meet everyone and it was the highlight of our day chatting to you on Skype and hearing about your special day.
Lovely to meet you Jo (thanks for bailing me out the other night 😊, Cindy (enjoyed our chats about PNG) and Rachael (with a little more practice, we could have won that tournament 😊. John (our champion boule player) & Sylvia (great apple pie - thanks .... and, yum! 😊
Thanks everyone - a great day all round.
See you on the blog!

I wanted to stay on Skype so much longer and talk to everyone individually, but the connection started to fade. Sunday is the busiest day of the week for the Internet in Ethiopia and connections can be quite bad. Thus, we were lucky to have such a good connection for so long.
Look forward to your blog on the day!
Reply to this Looks like a wonderful event! Next time we'll have to try and Skype in (assuming we don't have to work the next day - silly time zones. Though who knows, maybe we'd have been a riot at 2am local time)
Reply to this We'll have to also have a virtual RSVP option as well so we can make sure there's enough iPads available :-)
Reply to this THANK YOU ALL.
The Sydney 2013 Get-together is over...4 days & 3 nights jam packed with activity...Friday to Monday...big luncheon on the Sunday...showcasing what Travelblog is all about.
Making new friends...united by a common interest...great times.
As Jo put it:
"It wasn't an event...it was an adventure. Those not there have no idea what they were missing."
Watch this space...the blogs of what we did over the days and nights are forthcoming. Prepare to be blown away. How each of us can confine it to one blog is a challenge indeed.
Thanks again everyone. It was a blast.
Reply to this Wow what an awesome time - indeed an adventure. Thank you so much to our amazing hosts Denise and Dancing Dave, you certainly know how to party and entertain - and welcome people into your beautiful home and beautiful hearts. Jo, you really are right when you say that TB is a community and a family more than a website our brave mast climbing photographer extraordinaire!.
Sylvia (sorry I have to say I fell in love with John and your apple pie just a wee bit!) and John, so lovely to meet you and YAY we reign supreme - TB Boules winners 😊
Jan - was lovely to meet you and discuss PNG through a womans eyes and look forward to reading your blogs.
Rachel - Brains and Beauty combined into one awesome kiwi aussie kinda chick, Im sure we will party again - and thanks for trusting me not to crash the ship!
Shane, all the way from Ethiopia...nothing more needs to be said - how to make a guest appearance in style
Putting hugs and smiles and faces to Internet names really bought home to me how much of a family travelblog is - arent we all so lucky to have travel bring us together.
So thank you to everyone, for everything, (apple)bottoms up and cheers - cant wait til the next get together.
It was worth immersing myself in 12 degree water for
Reply to this How do you say in English?
Wish I was there!
Hi from the middle of Europe!
Reply to this Hey all,
What a fab time you seem to all have had, we have only arrived in Civilisation about an hour ago in Alice Springs, and I think we had just arrived in Birdsville, after crossing the Simpson Desert, when you guys were partying.
So glad, you brought the Ski set in to the fold, they are great people and we love them dearly.
Sorry got to got, publish a blog and devour these Macca's Chips.
