Looking for luggage storage facilities at Don Muang Airport (DMK) in Bangkok, for Jan 31 to Feb. 5.

I will be traveling round trip from Don Muang Airport in Bangkok to Calcutta India for 5 days and only want to take my carry on luggage, and not the large check in piece that I will take throughout Thailand and home when I return to Bangkok from Calcutta. But I cannot find info re: luggage storage at Don Meung airport from where I will depart and return. Does anybody know anything about it? Reply to this

If you are using a hotel in the city some hotels will store a bag for you for free until you come back. This is good for them because returnees often spend another night with them.

I haven't been to Don Muang since they were the only airport. I found this link on another forum. Don't leave valuables, cash, jewelry, electronics in the checked in bag.

If it is any help at all, I do know that Suvarnabhumi does have left luggage storage room that is used often.

Hello Hal, thanks for answering again . It seems like you blithely have nothing to do but wait for dummies like me to pop a question, and I appreciate it!

Unfortunately for this round of flights it must be DMK. I will fly out of Suvarnabhumi about 2 weeks later. But these India flights cannot be changed as I am traveling to India and back with another person who cannot change. We are going in different directions after India, and this trip is a small link in a lengthy itinerary.

When I researched this matter on Trip Advisor, their most recent comment on it was from 2011 when someone said that the luggage storage facility at DMK was closed when he was last there. They suggested a place called Bangkok Self storage, which seems to be quite a distance.

But because I will spend one night at a place called 48 Ville less than 5 K from DMK, I actually called them today. They said they would hold my luggage for my time in India, no problem, no charge. So if there is no faclity at DMK, when I return from India at 4:40, I will take a quick (I hope) cab ride to the hotel and pick it up, and be back for my 7:30 flight to Phuket. Reply to this
