The best time to visit Rajasthan is October to March - the weather isn't so hot and you can enjoy the desert. We were there in October and again in December and really enjoyed it. Make sure you go to Udaipur, Pushkar, Jaisalmer (camel safari), Jodhpur and Jaipur.

Reply to this Yep I agree with Nov-Feb, I did a trip through Rajasthan on motorbike for 2 weeks in December and that was the perfect weather for me. Nice and cool at night (not really cold) and warm during the day (but not really hot like, very comfortable).
My highlights would be:
-Jaisalmer(interesting castle and tour + camel safari)
-Jodhpur(big assed castle/fortress)
-Udaipur (beautful lake, boat trip, tour the palace)
-Jaipur (incredible castles, astronomy instruments at Jantar Mantar, wind palace..)
