It looks like Ali or the new designer got a thing for hot pink 😄.
If you want to go hippie, go green, yellow or orange.
I really think that the colour scheme should reflect the Travelblog's demographics.
To be honest, I would prefer a more natural earthy tone.
Reply to this It will definitely get noticed in internet cafes around the world and start conversations. That would bring in more users. Wasn't that what the developers were going for?
Mell, I thought Ali said he was on one of those live-aboard dive-thingys for a week. Do they have internet access on them?
Reply to this My suggestion for the next version is to randomly colour the letters in the blog text. It's really boring when they are all black. It would compliment the pink and round out the "hippy" intention of the designer.
Maybe you could randomly vary the text size and font also. That would look pretty.
John.
Reply to this I’m also assuming this is an April Fool’s, but I love the pink! I wouldn’t mind if it stays. It’s such a refreshing change from blue and gives the site more energy and style. When I saw the changes, I was so ecstatic, I nearly squeezed the screen.
How come all sites have to be blue for boys? I say, let’s have it pink for everyone! Keep the pink! Keep the pink! As travellers, we should be open-minded to new experiences, and I think that extends to a new Travel Blog. And, is it just me, or has the number of new bloggers gone up? Kudos to the person who made the changes~
Reply to this I think I should start posting black and white photos instead. They shd look better amidst all that pink!

Hopefully, he has brought the underwater housing for his iphone, that he mentioned, so he can get online while he is diving.

The changes were an accident. But, as the saying goes, accidents are the mother of invention!
Reply to this The
shock value of going pink seems like working. The website stood out and gathering strong reactions from travelbloggers. If this is really one of those April fool's day joke, well Done !!!
However, if this is going to be permanent and there's a class action against the "Hot Pink" headache-inducing colour scheme, count me in !

There's a black and white photo on the Front Page at the moment. It doesnt look good with the pink.
But, I would try putting a lot of blue in your photos. I noticed, the pink brings out the blue in the skies of the Featured Photos.
Reply to this what?! holy smokes pink! hahahah <hurting my eyes>. when i opened travelblog i was like "is this serious?!" hmn.
Reply to this Hi Ali love the pink its just the same colour as the old pink bath outside our front window with flowers in, I know you said tb was getting a new look but I'd never imagined this lovely pink! Time you got in touch with your feminine side!!! Mum
Reply to this I changed a photo I took of the Petronas towers in honour of our rocking new colour.

P.S. Ignore the hidden entry title. Its not exactly hidden 😊
Reply to this I've recently been having a few problems with my monitor and I thought this was another one of them. That pink is really scary on a high-definition 24 inch screen!
If it's just a mistake or an April Fools joke, well, I'll stick with it until it reverts to something sensible. But, when Ali comes up for air, tell him I'm already Googling for prettier blog sites! 😞
Reply to this ...tell him I'm already Googling for prettier blog sites!...
The pink cant be all that bad. There are quite a lot more new members than usual joining since it.
Reply to this I absolutely despise the pink! What was wrong with the original look?
Reply to this Sorry Mell, but I honestly can't look at the pages with that pink on them - it hurts my eyes. Let me know when it's safe to come back!
Reply to this I'm afraid I really don't like the new colour it makes the site look cheap and trashy.
But, I would try putting a lot of blue in your photos.
People shouldn't have to adapt their photos to suit the colour of the site.
Please change it back!
Reply to this I agree with the above comments. The pink makes my eyes hurt.
STOP, PLEASE, STOP.
