Any one selling 2 motorbikes in HCMC around 23rd April. Nothing fancy just capable (or almost capable) of reaching Hanoi in 2 weeks. Fireblade or R1 owners need not apply....Cheers
Reply to this Have you looked in Le Pub and Chi's Cafe on Bui Vien street? People often offer them for sale there.
Reply to this Hey guys,
just wondering how legal it is for foreigners to drive bikes in Vietnam with European licences?
I've read mixed reports.....hope its possible though :-)
Reply to this It's not legal. You need a Vietnamese motorbike license. However, plenty of people do it. If you get stopped you pay the fine/bribe.
Reply to this Thanks Rat...we'll give them a look when we get there. Much appreciated
Reply to this how much are we talkin about for a fine/bribe? like 10 dollars??
Or does it just depend on the person who stops you?
Reply to this If you're Vietnamese I heard it was 200,000 dong, but I'm sure if I'm wrong someone will correct me.
If you have a white face,.....it depends.
Reply to this Many bike for sale in this facebook group and I saw two Honda Win for sale also there. Check it out

Reply to this In response to: Msg #129843 It depends. If you drive under 60km/h and without any illegal things, you will need to give to police 200,000vnd so that you can go on.
Something you need to notice:
- Always wear helmet
- You can drive at 60km/h on highway and 40km/h on residential area
- Turn on signal light when you're making a turn left/right
- Horn is useful for crowded street
