Hi.. Does anybody know of a good place to go see for the day outside of Jakarta either by plane or private car, etc.?
Like for example, I plan on visiting Yogyakata but I will be flying in in the morning, do a tour and then fly back in the afternoon.

Reply to this hi kris, another place you can check out is bandung. if you're into architecture, many are art-deco style.
around bandung, you can go to lembang, and check out tangkuban perahu to see the volcanic activity closely and a hot water spring is nearby. another volcano place is called kawah puteh, another attractions.
if you like to shop, there are overwhelming lots of factory outlet, and nice sundanese food to check out.

Reply to this ..or maybe bogor, if you are into botanical gardens 😊. There is a Kebon raya Bogor that is very close to jakarta. It will only take you 1 hour by train 😊.
Reply to this Check out Puncak Pass or the Gunung Gede and Pangrango National Park. About 1 - 1,5 hours drive from Jakarta. Maybe you could reach the top by a day's hike, or just visit water fall. The area is beautiful eventhough a bit crowded. Bogor botanical garden is also on the way.
