Just wondering how easy this might be and how long it takes if possible. I'm gonna be needing a few more weeks here in Thailand, then Laos, then Cambodia, before hitting Vietnam and by then my visa wil only have a few days left on it. Can I just extend it after I've entered the country?
Reply to this yes, surely, you can extend your visa when entered our country.
You can contact to any tourism company or contact directly to ur Embassy in Vietnam.
Reply to this Well now there could be a possibility that my visa might even be expired by the time I reach the country, if I'm entering by visa on arrival is that possible by overland border? I'm proly gonna be coming from Cambodia or something? Ahh this is a pain...
Reply to this Yep its that easy just head over to any local travel agent Sinh Cafe, etc and get your extension.
If your visa has expired I recommend getting a new visa in Cambodia at the Vietnamese embassy in (Phnom Penh 436 Monivong Blvrd, Phnom Penh) or the consulate in Sihanoukville (310 Ekreach- Khan Mittapheap - Sihanouk City) it only takes 5 minutes and costs around US$30.
Note you cannot get a Vietnam Visa at the Cambodia/Vietnam border.

Reply to this hey
i think im going to be dealing with the same problem
im flying into HCMC march 5 and will be flying out april 20 and ive already book my return flight between HCMC and Bangkok. Ill be flying to bangkok on march 17 and returning to HCMC april 19, so by the time i return to HCMC for my flight home my 1 month visa will be expired.
would it be better to just buy a 3 month visa before i leave Canada?
or to just get a 1 month visa and try to extend it in HCMC before i fly out to Bangkok?
or is there another option i havnt thought of yet?
thx
