hi guys thinking about traveling later this year and spending a few weeks in thailand ( 3 to 4 ) in september , herd its the wet season , how bad is it ? i was thinking of traveling down to singapore by train , will the train lines be disrupted by the weather ?

will it be completly pointless going to the beach or even geting a beach hut that tyme of year ? one of my main reasons of heading there was for the beaches , but will places like the tiger temple be shut or closed to public as well ? ive herd a few smaller islands may be due to sea conditions

if i sell my cars and put in a gd few weeks over tyme i mite be able to get there mid june this year ? is the weather / beaches sea conditions any better ?

any help will be great Reply to this

It normally rains for an hour or two in the afternoon and then the glorious weather returns ago. It doesn't rain every day though. I wouldn't let it put you of a single bit.

As someone from Ireland I have to laugh at what some people call Rainy Season. They should try and live here! Reply to this

When it rains in Thailand it does not rain all over Thailand at the same time. It could be pouring in Bangkok and nearby Pattaya/Jomtien Beach be dry or vice versa. I like the off season because hotels are cheaper and there are fewer tourists messing about. Keep in mind that you do not have to actually be at a beach to get a little sun!

Even during the "rainy season" and the "hot season" millions of tourists still visit visit Thailand.

Different areas get different amounts of rainfall. Some areas may experience a little flooding until drains can handle the deluge. I think it would be pretty unusual for you to not get some sun time in! Sometimes seas can get a little choppy for boating.

A little rain gives you an excuse to stop in a mall, go in a bar or restaurant or just sleep a bit. You can't play in the sun all day anyway without getting a bad sunburn.

Good luck.

Thailand Southern part only have rainy and summer season. I think it's rain even harder in November (which is high season) than in September. It's not rain all days only few hours then the rest of the time more with the sun. Samui and Lanta island can visit all year round.

Also, the connecting month change from high to low season starting from May 1st. is very good deal for tourist visiting as the hotel turn to be half price and the weather still really nice. The beach much less crowded.
