Northwest Thailand hiking tours...with a suitcase, not a backpack?

Mae Hon Son better than Chiang Mai?

Now I do not see the appeal with backpacking...all that strain on your back? Surely you can leave your luggage at a hostel for a small charge or even free and just take a bag of essentials?

Is this possible? And also I want an authentic tour, not a tour of these tribes where there are satellite dishes etc, is Mae Hon Son a better option than Chiang Mai? Reply to this

Hello Danielle 😊

Of course you can leave you luggage at a hotel for a fee. As long as you have payed for the room, they wont care that it is only your bag that is occupying it.

Some guesthouse rooms are very inexpensive in Thailand, so if you just want to leave you stuff there, then get one for 4 Euros per night or less if you can find it.

One world of warning: Your clothes and bags will be safe, if you leave them in a guesthouse room. I wouldnt leave any valuables such as laptop, camera ... in a Thai guesthouse room though. They are too often broken into and robbed. Reply to this
