Laptop restrictions in China?

I'm considering taking my laptop with me, when I do my RTW trip next year. Do China impose any restrictions on laptops at all? Has anyone had any problems with immigration officials, when entering China with a laptop?

zero problem. we came from taiwan to china and we both had laptops and there was no problem. just make sure you have a transformer for the electrical sockets.

The only problem you'll have is the frustration of the seemingly random blocking of websites. We travelled around China with our laptop and had no problems wiht Immigration officials etc. Reply to this

Thanks for the info. As long as I can reach at least Facebook, TravBuddy, TravelBlog, CouchSurfing, HostelWorld, and my email, I'll more or less be happy. 😊
