We're going to Tokyo in October and are looking for some traditional yet cheap ryokan in Tokyo.
I've checked a few websites but they either offer some modern hostels or traditional ryokan but quite expensive..

Any advice?
Thanks

I've stayed in previously, and staying again in Sept/October, Kangetsu Ryokan. check out details on it @ http://www.kangetsu.com/sub7.htm I absolutely loved it.

It's not on the main rail line but I found the stay there to be quite good. It's all interconnected with a garden that has a tiny stream, small stone bridges, etc. Very traditional in style. prices start at 5250 yen for a traditional style room using the public bath (both indoor and outdoor, at least for the mens) Reply to this
