So, we went to Caracas. If you ask me how the trip went, it'd be pretty hard for me to give you a straight answer. Let's just say it was interesting (as they seem to go around here). We got out of class at 8pm last Thursday and headed to our houses to frantically throw the last of our things in our bags. Then we headed out for the bus terminal which was about a half a mile from our neighborhood. We arrived just in time to hop on the bus and head out. We were riding on a double-decker buscama (bus bed) and our seats were on top. So we got settled in and tried to get some sleep. This was not an easy task. Arrived safely in Caracas, it was a bit stressful when we arrived, a lot of officals coming up to us speaking in Spanish (surprise, surprise) - but our guide was there to meet us which we were very thankful for.... Myself and Ida were like two wet rags after the flight but Emma was buzzing and looked great coming in from Lisbon - maybe something to be said for those LARIUM tablets after all.... Wow... I knew I didn't really keep my Blog up to date... but that I actually didn't write about anything of my Venezuela Experience, exept the arrival somehow slipped my mind... Well... month have passed, I have seen a lot of this country and still there are so many things left, that I did not manage to visit and now it's already time to say good bye and start once again a new journey... So I'll just try to sum up the most important moments and experiences... After a pretty stressed start in my job here - because I had the first big conference I was in charge of just one month after my arrival, had to prepare sessions, select my trainer team, train the trainer-team, work on the logistics of the event and so ... read more

well as the title says we are in Caracas.... but an interesting last few days.... here it goes... well tayrona in colOmbia was awesome the best beach i have seen in my life... so far... there was crashing surf sandy beaches adn giant boulders placed in picture perfect places... a great day and wished we could have spent more time but we couldn't as we were off to venezuela... so after spending an great... though short... time in colombia we made our way ovewr to venezuela... getting into the country was easy until we got to customs... our bags were ripped apart and everything search which wasn;t bad as we full expected that at evry boarder down here but then after we returned our bags to the car we had to return for more searching... where ... read more

So here we finally are, the famous group emails are no more a new era has begun, the first entry into the blog commences... I start with an apology for the absence of photos. Uploading them involves a lot of paraphenalia and as you will see i am still a little wary about carrying round expensive stuff especially as it is approaching sunset when the badboys come out.
