The day started out overcast and windy and went downhill from there. I discovered my cane was missing and no one has turned it in. Then i bought my moisturizer and left the bag somewhere but the real kick in the teeth is when i learned that my redemption of HAL credit card points was not executed. Conversations with the Front Desk and the credit card company were unsuccessful so that is three for three. Still, I was invited to dine with Bill and Sandy, (BS) according to them, so thats a plus. I have walked farther this morning than in the past six weeks so thats a good thing. Not if only i can find my cane and moisturizer i’ll be almost even. We got our first ship-to-shore call from Maggie today. If we need to call her, it will be $4 a minute! But thankfully, she can purchase calling cards on board for a much more reasonable price (about $5 per hour). It was great to hear her voice, though we do miss FaceTime and seeing her. She's started classes, and says Global Studies is going to be great because it's totally geared toward Semester at Sea and she loves SAS! She will also be taking World Music, Oceanography, and Introduction to Global Theatre. Her biggest news is that everyone on board is experiencing seasickness....except her! Not sure where she got her sea legs, but she's very grateful she is currently being spared the symptoms her shipmates are enduring right now. She did say that the constant rocking ... read more

Penultimate Blog..... Managed it! A few photos from my iPad! There’s not much scenery except sea and sky. The picture of the people on the ship if from the day the second showing of support for NHS staff took place, at noon, the whole ship took part and the ships horn blew for the whole minute. I found it very moving, Thursday 9th April. Our days are blending into one, it’s hard to distinguish between them. I’m not sure how interesting this all is to you, dear readers, but it will remind us of our long sea crossing this spring. I hope it’s not boring. We really are enjoying ourselves still. Catch up As you can see from date I’m a bit behind with blog. Still finding lots to do despite being 20th consecutive day at sea. No excursions to tell you about but our cultural and maritime historical knowledge is getting a massive boost! Hope you find it as interesting as we do. Will update some more in a few days. Hello from the Regal Princess as we cruise through the Leeward Channel on our way to Jamaica tomorrow. Today was a restful day with very little that we needed today. That started by sleeping until about 9:30. When we got up we listened to the Wake Show which summarized what was happening today. We found a couple of things that interested us, but they also gave us a joke for today. Q: What do you call someone who likes Mondays? A; Retired. We believe that an alternate correct answer should be A2: On a cruise vacation. We went to the Horizon Court for Breakfast and got to sit there and admire the view of the ocean.
